[pf] Subscribing to: Digest for positive-futures@igc.topica.com by David MacClement 10 September 2001 03:01 UTC |

· If you want to check your Positive Futures list e-mail only once a day (or less often), you should be able to subscribe to the daily Digest form. Bill Ellis has been using this since February (at least). I do not recommend the webpage version of the sign-up, since that requires yet another password. · So I have tried to sign-up to the Digest using e-mail. I first un-subscribed my davd @ thames.net.nz (remove the 2 spaces) account, then used the instructions/questions that came next from Topica: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - If you did not want to leave positive-futures, you can resubscribe by sending a blank email to: positive-futures-subscribe@igc.topica.com Or, if the problem was simply that you got too much email, why not try the digest version of the list? To subscribe into digest mode, send a blank email to: positive-futures-subscribe-digest@igc.topica.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - · It seems that's actually working; there's no new PF posts on thames.net even though Annika & Jill have posted since I signed-up for the Digest. As I explained earlier (in my "space-sharing and time-sharing" post, at: http://csf.colorado.edu/mail/pfvs/2001III/msg01186.html ), I use my thames.net.nz address so I can send to Positive Futures during the daytime, when my daughter's likely to be using our ihug.co.nz address. · Another (small) value to the Digest is that you'll only get one full header per day; only useful if you save PF posts (as I do), and you're short of storage space. And thereby makes little identical robots of us all, fit only to be willing workers in the corporate/factory/industrial system, imbued with the values and lifestyles of the status quo. >Humanity can be more than that, ... · I agree.
