· I think it's over a year since I last sent the URL one of these.

· A "movie" (actually a slide-show, of satellite photos taken 3 hours
apart, with cloud at different altitudes given different colours) of a
depression or mild cyclone on the NZ side of Tasmania, is at:

http://davd.tripod.com/_4/010424ausmovie.gif . It's large: 215 kB.

· You can see it rotating clockwise. However, the: "cyclones are clockwise"
mnemonic only works in the preferred parts of the world, those south of the
equator. The other thing above the surface of the earth that also "works
better" here is the face on the moon. On the full moon, the "eyes (with an
eyebrow above the right eye), nose, and mouth" are (nearly, at 37 degrees S
latitude) the right way up, in the evening. When I was a young teenager
here in NZ (I lived in Canada until 1946), I had another fancy: the moon
was showing a shadow-play: on the left was the king with his crown, seated
across the table from his queen.

· I said: you can see it rotating. This would only work if you haven't
turned off those jiggly ads by un-checking "Play animations" in the
advanced section of Tools, in IE 5.0 (if that's what you're using).

· You'll get the current sequence of images from the source at:
http://www.eng.jcu.edu.au/JCUMetSat/ausmovie.gif . It's linked-to on:
http://www.eng.jcu.edu.au/JCUMetSat/web/metsat.html
