I'm fairly sure you were referring to posts to [CarFree], not the
www.wired.com article.

· That's a hard balance to draw (for one thing it varies over time, and
with "how rich" the society is), and I agree with your implication that the
USA has taken individual "succcess" much too far, as an admirable goal.
