Why do you sometimes discuss autism and Asperger's?  I am not sure if Margaret told you that we have one brother with High Functioning Autism and a nephew with Asperger's.  Also two brothers who live with Margaret both DD and one also bipolar.

We discuss the subject for a few reasons.
 
 * We're an inquiring bunch and just about anything is open to discussion. 
 * The disabled and differently abled are part of the world community, and their concerns are a topic for a group trying to envision the best possible world community. 
 * Some of us here are a little weird, and we often explore the reasons why.  Autism, as I am sure you know, is a spectrum disorder, and some of us may share characteristics of autism. 
 * I have a high-functioning autistic person working with me, and Jill (I think) works with autistic children.  There may be some other folks here with similar connections.
