The Knowledge Channel Foundation: The Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI), a non-stock, non-profit corporation registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, has been in operations since 1999. KCFI, formerly Sky Foundation Inc., was founded by Rina Lopez Bautista as a response to the urgent need to improve the quality of education and create an impact on the public educational system. Its goal is to provide universal access to quality and relevant education through the creative use of audiovisual production and transmission technology.
KCFI envisions a nation where learning is exciting and available to all, bound by neither distance nor the lack of infrastructure. It believes in the effectiveness and efficiency of television as a teaching tool and as an instructional medium. Through educational TV, it hopes to equalize the learning field by making quality educational video materials available to all students, regardless of status.
