1)hows the band these days?

-We're fine thank you! Currently very busy with writing new material for the
new album. Next month, on the darkest day of the year (21th of dec) we'll
perform our annual celebration DAY OF DARKNESS together with THE HAUNTED.

2)i need some a little bit staement of your band history.

-The band took shape in the year 1991 when our drummer Roger decided to form
a band of his own. In 1992 his brother Tony (guitar + vocals) joined forces
and together they hired and fired a couple of different members. In 1994 me
(Andreas, bass) and Goran (guitar) became a part of this unholy troop and
the following year we realeased the debut demotape simply called "Demo -95".
This tape gained some attention throughout the underground and attracted a
deal from the Swedish label Voices of Death. We were supposed to record a
split CD for this label but backed out and decided to release some of the
tracks as another demotape instead, this time entitled "Carnage" (1997).
This tape was widely spread in the underground and got really great
reactions from all over the world. Eventually we ended up on the Danish
label Helgrid Productions whom released the mini-cd "With Sardonic Wrath" in
1999. Later the same year Goran was replaced by our new guitarist Jens. In
the year 2000 we signed a deal with Hammerheart Records and started the
recordings of our full-length album "Neither of Gods". In August 2001 the CD
was released and since then we've written new material and been on tour
together with BENEDICTION.

3)any new line up from the band?can you show me your band line up?

-The line-up is as follows: Tony Freed (guitar + vocals), Andreas Dahlstrom
(bass), Jens Klovegard (guitar) and Roger Sundquist (drums). In the early
years quite a lot of members came and went, but the only changes in the
recording line-up was when Goran Eriksson left in 1999 and Jens took his
place behind the strings.

4)throneaeon what the hell does it mean?

-It means a lot to us, what does it mean to you?

5)hows your musicianship now, compared to the previous style?is it more
fast,diabolic,amazing riffs or what ever..

-Hehe, it's always amazing diabolic riffs, but I don't think it's faster as
a whole. We try to develop our music which we have found to result in both
faster and slower parts. We play blasphemous death metal the way we've
always wanted it to sound!

6)any plans for the good of the band?

-We're planning for the new album right now, but we're also talking about
doing some more touring with the band. Right now I don't have much to tell
you, but you will hear more from us duing the first half of 2002.

7)what if you were given a chance to tour here(philippines)will you accept
it?why?

-We would definitely accept that kind of offer. I have never been to the
Philippines so it would be really fun to visit your country and I have a
friend who lives in Manila from time to time. I've heard that it's a nice
warm country so it sounds like a good idea.

8)do you like to have some contact with other band which are extreme too?for
what cause?

-I like to have contact with any bands that are cool, but I guess that it's
especially good to keep in contact with other extreme bands so that we can
help eachother. I think it would be easier to rely on just the label if we
played more mainstream music, but when you play as extreme music such as
ourselves you have to do a lot of hard work yourself, that's why bands in
this genre keep together. We have a lot of friends but I wouldn't mind
gaining some new.

9)whos resposible for the artworks and fucking lyrics for the band?

-The fucking lyrics are written single-handed by our vocalist/guitarist Tony
and they deal with subjects that are important to himself as well as the
rest of us in THRONEAEON. The lyrics are an important aspect to our music so
I hope that you read them and make an opinion of your own about them. I
handle the artwork for the band.

10)what can you say about the riffs of almighty Trey Azagthoth?do you listen
morbid angel?why?

-I really like Morbid Angel and Trey's riffs and solo's are absolutely
wicked. They have been one of my fave bands ever since I heard their Altars
of Madness and Blessed are the Sick albums in 1991. Their music is really
blasphemous and wicked and it's really hard to describe the feelings I get
from listening to them, they're simply one of the absolutely best death
metal bands that has ever existed.

11)how about the metal scene in your place give me some opinions.

-Ooh, I was really proud to be Swedish in the early nineties considering we
had such great bands as Entombed, Dismember, Nihilist, Carnage, Grave,
Grotesque, At the Gates, Seance, Bathory, Mefisto, Nirvana 2002, God
Macabre/Macabre End, etc, etc, but then I think that we somewhat lost our
touch for a couple of years. Nowadays death metal is becoming bigger and I
think that bands like Vomitory, Deranged, Necrophobic, Dismember,
Luciferion, etc, helps us holding the banner high. There are also a lot of
cool new bands that I can mention like Spawn of Possession, Kaamos,
Insision, Butchery and Soils of Fate.

12)are you against all froms of religious beliefs or any religious
congergations?why?and i need some comments about the christianity.

-Personally I don't belive in hiding my feelings and opressing myself
because of a god that doesn't exist. I think it's absurd to confess to a
certain religion. I genuinely dislike christianity since it's so close to me
living in a somewhat christian country. All I see is hypocrisy and false
people trying to force their belief upon me. I'm never going to accept a
christian god (or any other god for that matter), I believe people should
find strength within themselves and the meaning of life is to live life to
the fullest extent possible.

13)do you like some other black metal bands?

-I'm not really a black metal person. I discovered black metal when I heard
the "Aske" LP of Bruzum a long time ago and since then I've listened to
bands such as Immortal, Dissection, Dark Throne, Mayhem, Burzum and Marduk
(1st album). It's hard to talk about black metal as a whole, 'cause you have
the new and the old kind of black metal. The old kind of black metal is
closer to my heart with bands like Venom, Mefisto, Bathory and Mercyful
Fate.

14)what are your influences?

-I'm gonna let Tony answer this one since he writes all the lyrics.
-Tony: I think I am coloured by all the music I´ve listened to throughout my
life. Everything from Kiss, Judas Priest, Wasp, Motley Crue to Napalm Death,
Carcass, Slayer, Metallica, Entombed, Deicide, Morbid Angel etc.

15)Can you tell me about yourself outside the band?

-Ahh, well, I dunno... I'm not that interesting... haha...

16)how do you rate your band?

-I would say that THRONEAEON is my life and it's the higest form of living
for me so that makes it a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10.

17)where do you get inspirations to your lyrics?its deals about what?

-Tony:  I write about all kinds of different wierd stuff that happens to my
already fucked up life. Mostly I´m mad about something but I also write
about the few good parts.

18)what can you say about your new material if any?

-Tony: I think some people will find it a bit more varied then before. It
will sometimes be heavier, even more catchy but still as chaotic that you
will need to listen to it more then just one time to really get it. This
means that all the tiny details that completes our music will remain. Well,
actually we have taken the good parts from our previous releases and added a
half spoon of sugar, urin and some virgin menses.

19)what can we expect of throne...live show?

-Tony: Madness, energy, human fluids and. more agression.

20)last words to all metalheads out there about anything and your
merchandise...thanks

-I hope to see you all on tour. We have CD's and shirts for sale through our
website. Check it out for all neccesary info at www.throneaeon.com and

cheerz!
