| 1.) Welcome to this interview
Chas, how things are going on in U.S.?
Things are ok here in the states except in New York
but that is almost over.
2.) First of all I want to know what is your aim while
creating this music?
Summon that you have heard in the past was written
by me and Xaphan what we were
aiming for was sick Satanic metal. Which I think we
have achieved. The next
album is going to be the sickest.
3.) Can you mention some bands who influence SUMMON
from the start?
Well I have been into Bathory, Venom, Blasphemy, Beherit,
old Grave, Hypocrisy,
too many to mention.
4.) Would you agree with me if i will tell you that
SUMMON'S music style is
belong to the new age of death metal?
I agree with you if it can be accepted in the world
there are so many trendy
fucking bands in the world that people love like KORN
and Shit Biscuit man they
suck. The world is not ready for death metal or Black
Metal to be on the radio
and at every club
5.) Do you think it is necessary for a death metal
band to have blasphemous
lyrics?
I dont think it is necessary but I enjoy them more,
instead of kill your mother
rape your dog. (Sorry Fetus) he he he he...
6.) Why is it that almost of your compositions can
only consumed 2-3 minutes? Do
you think it's one of the reasons that makes you differ
from other bands?
Our songs are short because they are so fast the drums
are faster than almost
any drummer I have heard well that was then and this
is now wait till you here
new Summon material
7.) Ok, can you share to us your ideas from the album
"No Thoughts from the Sky
"?
No Thoughts from the Sky well I have no thoughts of
it I hate it, it is not
Summon at all. This album was written by 4 guitar
players, that no longer jam
with us. Why because that is not our style. We are
back to a three piece, and I
think this is where it will stay. We will to a couple
of songs from no thoughts
to show how they should have been played. I
8.) When can we expect for a new release?
We are entering the studio in the beginning of May
2002 to record a new full
length on Moribund Records.
9.) As of now, do you have a high expectations from
SUMMON? I mean, do you
expect that SUMMON could be popular as SLAYER, MORBID
ANGEL etc?
I dont know if Summon will be that popular it is hard
to get out by your self
we will see what happens I would love for this to
happened oh well we might not
be as popular but we still can play shows with them.
10.) Is it important for a band to be open minded to
all kinds of metal? What do
you think?
II think it is important to be open minded for sure
I listen to classic rock
this is what I was brought up on I like music period
except this new rap core
shit if you are going to rap be hard core as fuck
not this jump around week shit
.
11.) How about listening into black metal?
I love Black metal more than Death Metal. There is
so much more feeling in it
less groove, but I listen to both .
12.) Can you name some bands which do you believe that
has qualifications of
being true in their music?
Old Mayhem Impaled Nazarene (sick fuckers) Dark Throne
to many to list.
13.) Do you think the bands income can support for
your daily needs?
The band can take care of its self we need a tour so
anybody wants to help BOOK
IT. We do mini tours we need a big one with a big
band.
14.) Anyway, how do the guys in summon earn for living?
I am a mason tender, Xaphan is a tattoo artist and
Josh is a carpenter.
15.)Who's xaphan anyway , is he the one who plays also
from HATEPLOW and KULT OV
AZAZEL ?
Xaphan has always been in Summon also Lucifers Hammer
from MI and Masochist
>
16.) why he makes a lot of bands ? where did he really
belong ?
Xaphan and I started Summon years ago he belongs in
Hell but we will keep
him for now!
>
17.) are you familiar with these u.s. black metal
bands like IN AETERNUM , THY
INFERNAL AND THORNSPAWN? what's your comments about
this bands since you've
said that you're one of those black metal legends
in u.s.?
Thornspawn was on Baphomet records with us not sure
f they still are I like
the band Thy infernal is Moribund rec where we just
signed and they are
fucking brutal as far as the origional US black metal
bands we played in
Masochist and there was only a few
black metal bands in the us then, which were Profanatica
and Absu this was
early 90's
18.)i think it's time to close this interview, thanks
for this little bit
information about
SUMMON and I'm looking forward for your success
Thanks for the interview and hope you enjoy the new
