SKULL CRUSHED/METAL FEST 2002
Slackers 11.06.02
GIG REPORT BY SAITHAN!

SORRY DUDES!!! NO PIX FOR APOKALIPS, NOSFERATU, FATAL DESASTER, INFERNAL STORM, only half of the 24 shots came out right. FUKKIN CAM!

Overall: the Show was successful. We didn't expect it to be that successful at first because the fucking rain drenched the outside.

6:00pm the sound system finally got set up, Human Mastication, a Hardcore band, and Al Iblis were the first ones to arrive. They got there early with the aim of practicing while doing the sound check. Luckily Armor Piercing came early. Armor Piercing didn't play for certain reasons, we'd just like to thank them for their support!

Armor Piercing

It was 9pm and there were only a few demons present, I got really pissed by then, the fucking rain hadn't stopped yet. Wendelhous of Funebral got in soaking wet.

10pm, the gig started with Human Mastication.

Human Mastication

They conquered everybody's ears with their blasting Grind Death song 'Suffocated'. The crowd began to swell.

A Hardcore band, I yet to get their band name, followed suit. They kicked assess, they played songs by HateBreed, the crowd went thrashing after them. Next came Al Iblis, they played four original songs 'Rival to an Empire', 'Eretz Israil', 'Al Qassam', and 'Goats of Shebaa'. This will be their last gig with their kiddy drummer; yet that was just their first set, technically the set with original member Limmah ibn Rashid.

Al Iblis

10:30 - The Panabo Metal Maniacs - Apokalips, Infernal Storm, with Dirkumnas of Funebral showed up with their legion.

An upstart Black Metal Band from Panabo, Black Imulet, massacred our earlobes. They played Terroristic War Black Metal, just a couple of songs and they ended their set.
Black Imulet

Another sound blasting by Nosferatu came up. Just two songs of Brutal Death Metal Execution, a cover of Dying Fetus' 'Grotesque Impalement', and their original black death score 'Souls under the Altar'. What a quickie!!

DamienLord began callin up bands to perform.

Infernal Storm brought themselves up the stage and blasted their way through our bleeding eardrums again. 4 original scores if I'm not mistaken, the demons within the walls banged their heads to their fukkin knees.

Again, Al Iblis second set, with the new line-up. Played 4 of their originals, tunes from their upcoming EP. 'Al Nakbah', 'Gulbuddin', etc...

Its Dirkumnas time again! Pete Sandoval on the loose! His death metal band - Feneralia blew our brains out...
Feneralia

Fatal Desaster formerly Decapitated-Philippines wrought havoc! Blasting their way through songs 'Summoned to Slay', 'Killing Alone', and more... Ahhh!! My neck starts to ache!

almost 12midnite, Apokalips closed the gig with their extreme ear pounding songs! And what a treat! They did a cover or two of Carcass tunes 'Buried Dreams', and hehehe I forgot the other one. Man this band really delivers the ear pounding/torturing sound I really dig!

Funebral hadn't played either. Their bassist wasn't present. tsk tsk tsk...

Saleswise, it was a fuck up, if it weren't for that damned downfuck!!! I dunno if i'll ever organize a gig again hehehe... [JOKE ONLI] Next year it'll be another shit! - Saithanail
