EXCORIATED AND DENIED

Its been quite a while that i've been hearing and reading obnoxious articles about the so-called metal scene' in my locale - Davao Shitty.
At first, i didn't mind all these crap, but after a while it gets old and it starts to get into the nerves; like a repressed anxiety inducing stimulus that steadily creeps into the conscious realm of the psyche, or something close to that.
First off, I personally would like to inform people from the north [Luzon] that Metal didn't just
come out of nowhere like some flash in the pan. It took years of molding for it to come out like how it is now. For the information of the same, Metal started here in Davao, approximately at about early 1992.
Blitzkrieg, a metal band covering bands as Megadeth and Metallica dominated the local underground metal scene. I was among their followers, I must admit that I really went wherever these bands would perform.
At the same time, there were bands like Vox Humana, another metal band covering Pantera, also there was this pinoy metal band - Kreum Pak Tum; add to that Sister Heads, they were into Guns and roses, Skid Row, etc...
Then there was Citizen Pigs in 1993-1994. They were the first death metal band in Davao to be exact. I still am in contact with their Drummer - Joe Perez, and I'm planning to encode their Video Footage in Almendras Gym, i think it was a video of theirs in 1993. Metal scene was handled by then Nursing students of Davao Doctors College.
My band started in 1994 - Sacrament, we were into Thrash Metal bands covering Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, and Sepultura. We had our original scores but I cannot locate our demo tapes anymore. We crossed over to Death Thrash metal at around 1995, after which we split. At that time, a Black/Death metal band called Cremation came into existence alongside Carnivores [Thrash/Death].
Carnivores were the first band to actually record their Extreme Metal original score entitled - Kill Your Enemy. This same band were of my former bandmates: drummer - Joeffy, and Lem - Bass/Vox, and Jigger/Guitars of another metal band at that time. Their demo tape was recorded at around 1995.
After the demise of Carnivores came Infanticide, and Agnas, and upstarts Pax Vobiscum at around 1996. In 1998 came the kick-ass bands you now know: Korihor and Decapitated, and so on.
I can vividly recall the days when playing metal on stage was tantamount to playing musick to an almost nonexistent audience. I wasn't aware of what transpired after my departure from the scene in 1995. I only got to get a glimpse of the monolithic rise of the underground metal scene 5 years later. I am confident to blurt out that as surely as blood spills once you put a bullet in an idiots' head, metal demon hordes coalesce whenever a gig is set.
It is undeniable that some people out there are somehow in a state of denial, or even envious as to the the burning metal underground activities occulting in Davao City these days. To make this bs short, I would like to reiterate the fuck that YES we have proof that metal once was in the 90s, now is, and will be in the future, here in the EXTREME Metal Capital of the Philippines - Davao City.
We will be releasing these proofs in the near future. These would probably include Citizen Pigs' Metal gig in 1993; as well as the demos by Carnivores: 1995. I may also include demos by Hidden Wound: 1997.
To finish this bull... eat your heart out while we play uncompromising extreme musick. Why not try to go south and witness OUR BRUTALITY as it evolves even as you read this writ. Davao Metal heads dont play weak metal - and we dont dig those rapmetal shit ala sleepknock, and those dick sucking female vox metal gothic bullshit!!!!
