VULPECULA

(Abbreviation: Vul).

Originally Vulpecula et Anser, the Fox and Goose nowadays the goose has disappeared (possibly the fox has eaten it). Vulpecula contains no star above magnitude 4.4, and is notable only because of the presence of the dumbbell Nebula and the fact that several novæ have appeared within the boundaries of the constellation.
