PISCES

(Abbreviation: Psc).

A large but faint Zodiacal constellation; it now contains the Vernal Equinox. Its mythological associations are rather vague, but it may represent the fishes into which Venus and Cupid once changed themselves in order to escape from the monster Typhon. There are three stars above the fourth magnitude.
