A very dim constellation, introduced by Lacailly in 1752 under the name of Mons Mensæ (The Table Mountain).  A small part of the Large Magellanic Cloud extends into it.   There are no stars brighter then the fifth magnitude, and no objects to be listed.  For the record, the brightest star is IS  g:  R.A. 15h 31m 53s .1,  dec. -76º 20’ 28”,  mag. 5.19,  abs mag –0.3.  spec k4  dist 130pc   IT HAS AN OPTICAL COMPANION OF MAG. 11 , P.A. 107º, DIST 38”. 2. NEXT COMES a (5.14). BRIGHTEST STAR IS  g:  R.A. 15h 31m 53s .1,  dec. -76º 20’ 28”,  mag. 5.19,  abs mag –0.3.
