CORVUS

An original group.  When the god Apollo became enamoured of Coronis, mother of the great doctor Æsculapius, he sent a crow to watch her and report on her behaviour.  To be candid, the crow’s report was decidedly adverse; but Apollo bird with a place in the sky!  Corvus is distinctive, since its leading stars from a quadrilateral.  There are 4 stars above the 4th magnitude.

(Abbreviation: Crv).
