3-2-02 i went and picked up a cadaver with a strong L20B for 60 bux from a friend of mine. he was using it to chain his dogs in his yard. he was heart broken on account that the car was one of the best tiedowns he has ever had. the dogs couldnt dig it up or pull it off. we towed it across town with the help of tim and his dads big beefy van.
3-24-02 lisa removed the radiator from the cadaver and spiled the coolent all over where i was trying to work on getting the transmission off. the transmission on the 620 was a real bitch. i had to break my hands off from the arms that they where attached to and use a u joint and 3 extensions on my ratchet to get the top bolts off. we rolled the cadaver onto some ramps using nothing more than brute force. wasnt easy. and we took the hoods off of both the 200SX and the 620 for easier access. so now all we gotta do on the 200SX is pop the motor mounts and pull it out.
after a few weeks of interogating everyone i knew for an engine hoist i finnaly got one. a friend of mine i used to work with at wendys about 2 years ago managed to talk his land loard into letting us borrow it. that presented another problem to me. usually if i had to move something that big i'd just throw it in the back of the truck and be on my merry way. but i cant do that seeing that the engine is burnt and all. so i then had to scour the town for someone who would let me borrow the services of their truck to go get it and to go put it back when we where done. when we went to go get it it was wedged in behind a small farm tractor and a pile of old transmissions. we had to do some hefty lifting to get it out and into the truck. but its all good. then it was off to my back yard to do some ripping and a pullin. both engins came out with minimal drama. now for the fun to begin

well, i got 2 engins sitting in my back yard and 2 cars next to them. i get the feeling of so close yet so far. i took the worn out clutch off the donor engine and put the new one from my truck on it. i think i will keep the heavier flywheel cause after all, its still a truck and its still gona do truck things.like pull trailers and haul off the refriderator that has been an eyesore in my backyard for a while. i had it all loaded and ready to go when the truck gave up the goast. i want to replace the throw out bearing before i remount the engine cause i have heard a few horror storys of what happens when u pull an engine and dont replace it when u have the chance. my girlfriend took a look at my truck then at the check book, and decided that i was gonna have to be creative about it.
the high res digital camera i been using died on me..so i got no pix of the engine pull in process...i'll see what i can do about remedying this problem
