TMS
Naval defense systems are required to perform in the presence of heavy clutter, ECM and anomalous propagation. Today's threats are smaller, lower and faster than ever before and can challenge the most advanced combat system. To maximize the probability of successful target engagement, sensor data must be integrated cooperatively to provide a threat alert at the earliest possible opportunity, while eliminating false alerts.

Norden's Track Management System (TMS) had evolved from its AN/SYS(V) Integrated Automatic Detection and Tracking (IADT) System to meet these requirements. The TMS provides automatic air and surface tracking through fusion of Radar, ESM, IFF and Electro-optical sensors. Norden's family of Track Management Systems can be tailored to meet a variety of requirements from single sensor automatic tracking to multisensor fusion with sensor cooperation and cueing.

Norden's extensive software interface library and programmable Adaptive Video Processor (AVP) allows the Track Management System to interface with a wide variety of sensor, combat and weapon systems. Our field-proven algorithms, featuring Multiscan Adaptive Correlation, Contact Classification, and Multiple Hypothesis Synthesis/Resolution, ensure early track disclosure in any environment at an exceedingly low false track rate.

For decades, Norden has provided the U.S. and foreign forces with the finest combat equipment technology. The product line includes the AN/SPS-40 air search radar, the AN/SPS-67 surface search radar, the AN/SPQ-9B Antiship Missile Defense (ASMD) radar and the AN/SYS IADT. Norden has supplied sensor integration and automatic tracking for almost every U.S. Navy surface combatant and is committed to the improvement of ship self-defense through its state-of-the-art sensor fusion processor, the Track Management System.
