Kazi Atif-Uz Zaman
Personal Information
I am currently employed by Yahoo! in the CCDI (Cloud Computing and Data Infrastructure) business unit.
Previously I worked at Siebel Systems,
working on the Siebel Analytics Server.
In a former life, I was a PhD student conducting research
under the supervision of Professor
Kenneth A. Ross at the
Department of Computer Science,
Columbia University.
I defended my thesis [pdf, Postscript] on the 8th of December, 2000(Mathematics Genealogy Project link for Kazi Zaman).
My research interests lie in the area of database systems specifically
Data Warehousing, OLAP and data mining.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from the
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur,
where I studied
Computer Science and Engineering from 1991 to 1995.
