Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Database Review
To be blunt, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by far the best Harry Potter movie of the franchise. First of all and most obvious, the main trios acting has improved astronomically. When Hermione screams, Yes! when Harry appears just appear the First Task, it blew me away. I know thats stupid, but that line really changed my opinion of Emma Watsons acting. For Daniel Radcliffe, the scene of his career was the graveyard scene at the end of the Third Task. For Rupert Grint, well, what scene is he not great in, right?
Another new actor in Goblet of Fire was Ralph Fiennes, who portrayed the evil Lord Voldemort, and boy does his performance live up to the character in the book. He is so chilling. With make-up, Fiennes was transformed with a snake-like nose, a bald head, and green skin (along with his teeth.) Yes, Goblet of Fire is definitely worth the ticket price. I have also seen King Kong and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Goblet of Fire is leaps and bounds above those films.
The story of Goblet of Fire takes the series of Harry Potter in a much darker place. Its true. In the end when Voldemort comes face to face with Harry, its one of the scariest movie moments in 2005. Its just that Harry Potter has spent the first three years at Hogwarts with Voldemort kind of in the back round. He was always around, but he was never in Harrys face in human form. Even when Voldemort kills Cedric, it shows how real his powers are and how close Harry is to being killed. Goblet of Fire is an amazing film, perfect cast, and a great story.
