Baq in the day wen ppl used wooden ships to travel across the Pacific, they had a cargo deck at the bottom ob da ship to keep everything other than ppl and food. One of these items kept down below was horse manure. Horse manure was used to fertilize crops in farms across the oceans. As you may knoe, horse manure smells and is unsanitary. So wen yoo have horse crap at the bottom ob ur WOODEN ship and it's HOT, SMELLY, and WET..... THINGS tend to grow. Well, from this bacteria, the unfortunate crew traveling wid this horse manure got GANGRENE and had their limbs AMPUTATED...
(for those out dere who's goin "huh?"... amputated means to CHOP OFF) Yea, wen they finally found out dat it was da horse manure dat killed ppl's arms and legs, they decided tew keep it nice and DRY. So in order to keep ppl from storin these bags of horse crap below deck, ppl often printed "S.H.I.T" on da bags tew indicate "Store High In Transit"... which means to keep dat shiet on deck or else u'll lose a leg, an arm, and ur job. So that's where the word "shit" originated from. |
