| �My name is John David Hensley and I am currently a freshman at Thomas Nelson Community College. I recently graduated from Phoebus High School with an above average diploma. I intend to successfully achieve my associate's degree in Criminal Justice and move on to joining the Police Academy. I am now looking into becoming a cadet of the Police Department.� A cadet is one that works as an Officer's assistant.� If I get this position, besides giving me a great reference for the Police Department, I am also a step ahead of the rest of the applicants already.� Currently, I am employed as a full time cook at Second Street Restaurant and Tavern. | ||||||||||
| I was born on January 6th 1981 in Norfolk, VA.� At the age of five, my mother and I moved to Hampton and it is where I currently reside.�� I am presently living with my mother, Barbara, her husband, Tommy, and my two younger brothers, Michael and Brandon.� When I am not babysitting my two brothers, I like to spend my free time with my girlfriend and playing my two favorite sports, basketball and football.� My freshman year of high school, I was a part of the Phoebus football team.� I would have stayed on the football team, but it required too much of my time.� I had no time to work or spend with my family and friends.� Now, when I have time, I play basketball and football with my friends or just watch the games on television. | ||||||||||
| Aside my plans of becoming a Police Officer, I hope to graduate college and one day own a restaurant business. After I have obtained my career as a Police Officer, I want to go back to school and complete my studies so that I can take on a career as a Probation Officer.� I know that this requires intense dedication and commitment, but I intend to work hard and take my time. | ||||||||||
