AcademicBuilding

Academic Building / Old Building

The Academic Building was a project of Congressman Renato Dragon and Mayor Recto Cantimbuhan. Its construction started on September 1997, and was finished exactly by the month of May in the year 1998. The said structure is a two-story building with eight rooms -four on the first floor and the other four remaining rooms were on the second floor. It was first used by the first batch of 150 students, on June 19,1998, and they have used the first floor only.

The first room located on the first floor of the building was for academic purposes, while the second one is the library, then the canteen and the office. The stage (the old one's) was established on the year 1999, because of necessity. The pathway to the stage was a project of Mayor Cantimbuhan. This construction was called as Academic Building because it was the first and the oldest building in the school, and was used for Academic purposes also.

Canteen

Canteen

The school canteen was first placed at the Academic Building. Our canteen teacher, Mrs. Julita Buenaventura, Mr. Ricardo del Mundo and Mr. Jose Policarpio Silfavan, associates it. The school principal decided to replace the school canteen to the new building that Sen. Panfilo Lacson and Gov. Ayong Maliksi established. Now, the canteen is on the building that is said to be. The canteen was extended last January of the year 2006 using its own fund.

Few donated things for the canteen. The Coca-Cola refrigerator and the Coca-Cola cooler were obviously given by the Coca-Cola Company. The tables were from Trece Martires City. The donations were not enough for the canteen so they bought things that will make the canteen look like a true school canteen. The canteen using its own fund bought all of the things, excluding the things above.

Guidance Office

Guidance Office

The Guidance office was first shared with the principal's office. This continued until the year 2003. On half of the year 2003, the guidance office was sent to the Local School Board (LSB), and half of its space was provided for the school supplies. In 2004, Mr. Emmanuel L. Resurreccion stated that there should be a separate room for the guidance office for the evaluation.

Now, the guidance office is more elegant and much organized than before. Other facilities there like the 25 armchairs and 6 plastic chairs were donated by Engr. Nerio B. Frani, Ms. Frani's brother.

Other things in the Guidance office were bought by the school. The sala set, curtains, white board and conference table were bought using the school fund. The big vases and the image of Mama Mary were bought by our principal.

On the next school year, 2006-2007, the guidance's newly acquired psychological test will be implemented by the opening of the classes.

Library

The first school library was placed at the second room of the old building, known as Academic Building. The second place where it was located was beside the ICT (Information Communication Technology) Laboratory. The Local School Board (LSB) building was extended, so the Science Laboratory then replaced the library. The library is then placed on the extended part of the building (on the upper-right hand corner of the LSB building).

Because of development, the library now became more beautiful than before, when you are about to compare it to the old one. Some of its decorations were donated and mostly were bought. The cabinets were donated by the KADIPAN (Kapisanan ng Diwa at Panitik) Club of batch 2001-2002. Two teachers of different subjects donated most of the pocketbooks there. One of them is Ms. Ayleen Ortiz, a Filipino teacher. She had contributed English pocketbooks, while the second one is Mrs. Anna Liza Perico, an English teacher that contributed pocketbooks, too. The globes were the projects of the Social Studies students batch

The television was bought when Wenzel Vaughn Pestao, a second year student that time, now a fourth year, won the San Miguel Scrap Art contest last November of 2003.

As an addition to that, the rest of the things that you can see in our library, were bought with the help of school's fund.

Science Building

Science Building (under construction)

Every year, schools were passing their reports to Department of Public Works and Highways, or DPWH. In the reports, the information about the number of buildings and rooms that the school has was included. By this system, DepEd was able to know that our school needs some building, so by means of this, they will spend money to give CNHS some new buildings according to necessity.

By the help of DPWH, the construction of the new building is now going on. The said construction was started last January 4, 2006, and expects to be finished two months from now.

This structure is a 2 storey building, and was placed near the Maliksi Building. Based on the plan, the room on its 1st floor will be the Science Laboratory, and the remaining 3 rooms will be academic classrooms.
