Highlights of the August Lake Isabella trip
Above:
This is a bitchen steak house with an outdoor grill and 4 generations of cats roaming around the storage yard next door.
Below Left:
This was our campsite in Rivernook.  It was thougjhtfully placed next to two chemical toilets that served what seemed like 20+ campers an hour. Strangely ours was the only one with grass growing on it.  Coincidence?
The Sierra's offer a lot of diversity of landscape.  Hard to believe these locals are only a few miles apart.
Here is what happens when you shake a waverunner vigorously with the hood up.  Jason got 3 shiny staples for that one.  Best to take care of those early. We know what happens to windshields when they crack.
Below is the Pine Cone Inn.
The place takes Kitche and Tacky to a new level.  A must see if you're ever in Kernville.
Excellent bar food and  Roberta the owner is a kick.
Right:  Here is where I spent most of my evenings. Dark & dank, it caters to retiree's, bikers, the working class, young tatooed women, and  the Orange County tourist.
Left:   Here we have Jason changing a trailer tire at a Haunted abandoned gas station out in the middle of scary-nowhere.That is my donor tire there Thank-you-very-much. We finally got him going and back at camp around 10pm that night.
