Remember Paul Petersen? He used to play 'Jeff' on the old Donna Reed Show, one of America's favorite television series from the late 50's to the mid 60's (The Donna Reed Show @ IMDB). Do you remember him? Do you still watch him in reruns on cable or satellite television? Paul Petersen had a long and successful run back then, as a child actor, but success did not last for him, nor does it last for so many child actors.
Paul Petersen had a fall from grace, a fall that he, like so many other former child actors, found difficult to accept, and had a difficult time adjusting to his new life away from the lights and the cameras. He eventually saw that many other former child actors just like him were having problems adjusting in their lives, adjusting to life outside of acting, and he also saw that child actors were being abused, in many ways, in the entertainment industry, abused in ways that often ended in the ruination of any form of normal life they could ever live after working in the entertainment industry.
So then, where have you gone, Paul Petersen?
Paul Petersen eventually adjusted, and decided to do something about what had happened to him, no longer for himself, but for other child actors who may become victims of serial child abusers.

THIRTEEN YEARS we've been here, this merry band of former kid stars who literally grew up on movie and television screens in front of the world. We've learned a lot, and as the 100,000 visitors to our site know, we've done our best to share this information with today's working children and their families.
The installation of our AMC Visitor Counter in April of 2000 coincided with the natural evolution of this Industry's amazing "turn-over-rate" that sees 20% of the major theatrical union's juvenile membership leaving the ranks of working children, who are replaced by another 20% of NEW hopefuls under the age of Eighteen. This is a Five Year cycle. The point is that we are now entering our 3rd "generation" of kids and their parents who are new to the Business and have worked at least two jobs, which means that our education campaign must be reinvented every five years. In many ways we seem to duplicate the difficult educational task seen in AIDS Education wherein just when you think you've reached everyone with the crucial information needed for survival you discover that an entirely new group of people have entered the Risk Zone.
Enter, The Actors Fund of America, one of the bedrock organizations of Show Business that provides aid and assistance to the entire Entertainment Industry, and has since 1882! Think of that; 121 years of service�everything from finding the money for burials of indigent actors, to the creation of hospices for AIDS victims. The expansion of The Actors Fund to the west coast from its home base of New York City put this organization into direct and immediate contact with a sub-population of the Industry that had historically been under-served, namely, the children who work in the Entertainment Industry. We have ten times the number of young performers as the rest of the country combined, and their unique needs soon came to The Actors Fund's attention, thanks to A Minor Consideration's unceasing efforts to help educate people about what lies ahead for a majority of these working kids.
I repeat, it's not the work that is so troubling to these high-profile children. It's what happens NEXT. Simply put, it's a bad idea to imperil fifty or sixty years of adult achievement for juvenile success�in the Entertainment Industry or in Sports. This is about excess�excess ambition, excessive fixation on fame and riches at any cost, and an excess of competitive pressure that ignores what is best for that extraordinarily gifted child.
There will always be children in the Entertainment Business. The risk factors are now well known, and documented. The question is, 'What can we do about it?'
A Minor Consideration has developed several preventative strategies since that moment in time when we shifted our emphasis from Intervention to Prevention. Much of our success cannot be measured because when we succeed the result is nearly invisible. In short, the families we reach do not make headlines. The kids we affect, whatever their level of Fame, manage to keep their balance and move into their adult life with far less drama.
We have come to that point in time when we need to systematize the transfer of lessons learned and educate our target group in those potential measures that reduce the risk to high-profile youngsters. This is not so simple as it may appear because the range of support services needed to make this work is not only unique in character, but in scope as well. The nature of the modern family has changed. One child's benefit may be another's child's risk. Some working kids lose sight of their educational needs while others may suffer from a lack of social interaction with their peers. Some parents are financial illiterates while others have a flair for money management. The complicating factors such as what a kid is famous FOR, the number of brothers and sisters, the composition of their management team, not to mention that moment in time when the onset of adolescence appears make this an ever-interesting puzzle.
When The Actors Fund first proposed its ambitious 'Looking Ahead' program three years ago we who have been working in this field were overjoyed because of all the specific areas we've identified the crucial Transition Period is the one that causes us the most trouble.
'Those who ignore History are doomed to repeat it.' That is our catchphrase. It is one thing to identify a problem, but quite another to put that knowledge into the hands of the people who need it most�and do so on a permanent basis.
With a significant grant from the Industry itself, The Actors Fund is moving forward with an ambitious program supported by not only A Minor Consideration, but the joint Young Performers Committee of AFTRA and SAG, and several major players acting as Advisors and Mentors.

'Apt Pupil: When things go Very Wrong. The allegations coming out of
the 'Apt Pupil' set are disturbing, to say the least. The plaintiffs
are claiming that they were separated from their parents, coerced (by
threats of dismissal and promises of future work) into completely
undressing, and filmed with full frontal nudity - which is a
violation of California penal code 311.4. In addition, a still
photographer was present on the set snapping pictures, and many of
the negatives have disappeared. The defendants are not challenging
that it happened, but are claiming that in doing this, they were

Well, we all know that Rock Hudson is dead, but dead as he is he still stands tall as a poster child for an additional set of problems faced by child actors these days, and the E! True Hollywood Story about Rock Hudson explains some of these problems quite well.
The article entitled Where Have You Gone, Paul Petersen? above, explains the first and primary set of problems faced by child actors, and knowledge of the trials and tribulations in the life of Rock Hudson helps us address an additional set of problems being faced by child actors these days.
The problem relates to the nature and structure of Hollywood contracts, and the attitude of Hollywood towards certain harmless social practices. Many child actors have already started developing strong artistic sensibilities by the time they have begun acting, and many develop those strong artistic sensibilities during their early acting years. Those strong artistic sensibilities, innately based on the observation of nature and people and life and the world, often take the form of an intelligent compassion for the problems of other people, for the pain and suffering of the innocent and down-trodden, for the abuse of babies and children, and thus, often lead to the artist opposing war and killing and tyranny and oppression, etc., and championing rights and freedom for all people: all the right things that you would expect an artistic child to express, simply because they are beautiful children.
Many of these child actors with strong artistic sensibilities, have consciously or unconsciously concluded from their observations (and some of them from their lives) that although they may be attracted to the opposite gender, they do not want to take a chance on bringing a child into a world such as this, and since they have determined that they still need or want physical intimacy with other people in their lives, they have made a logical choice to pursue that physical intimacy with people of their same-gender. Now, this is a conscious or unconscious moral choice of the highest character, a practical and prudent/cautious form of bisexuality, and stands opposed to other children who will seek personal satisfaction and sexual gratification in ways that lead to the myriad problems of society and which originate in, and end up with, some form of child abuse (see below: Fatherless Homes).
However, for the entire history of Hollywood, those who control Hollywood have always been opposed to homosexuality on their own personal religious grounds, and have used the weapon of the Hollywood contract to impose upon their acting talent a set of morals which they claim protects the monetary investment and profitability of their entertainment products. The 'morals clauses' in question assert than any type of behavior that is of such a nature that would lead to a loss of profitability through paying customers refusing to consume the entertainment product, can be met with cancellation of all future royalty payments for the related work. Now, to what type of behavior could they possibly be referring? The type of behavior in which Rock Hudson regularly participated with his many Hollywood friends at his legendary Hollywood parties, among other many varied places, but had to hide from the public in order to protect his 'image' and his pocketbook?
Now, these days (thanks to Hollywood), it is acceptable to the viewing public for their celebrities to have multiple affairs, multiple marriages, multiple divorces, multiple-parent children, etc., because all of that makes good press and sells the product, but it is not acceptable to the viewing audience if one of their celebrities turns out to be publicly homosexual, in any way. So then, the set of morals that Hollywood imposes by their contractual morals clauses, is a set of morals whereby it is okay to commit all sorts of heterosexual atrocities (cheating on partners, divorces with children, abortion, etc.), all of which are known to be destructive to the lives of children, but not participate in any consentual homosexual sex and admit to the public that you are homosexual or bisexual.
Now, the people who run Hollywood at worst actually hate homosexuals, and at the very best, deal with them within the moral structure of their nurturing religion: as sinners who may or may not be forgiven. This refers to the big money men, not the everyday production crews, recruiters, and agents, who are generally omnisexual perverts who will seduce a young boy or girl at the drop of a hat. And the stereotypes and characters that Hollywood propagates for homosexuals/bisexuals are never a truly positive role model that could be used by teenagers to help them through the despair of their self-discovery (never a masculine-type homosexual/bisexual who is as interested in sports as the arts), but only gross extremes and perversions that only serve to depress budding homosexuals/bisexuals with a look at their possible future selves or increase the repulsion of the public towards homosexuals/bisexuals (see FIRM - Hollywood Victims - by John Cones). Now, considering that more and more professional students of people are claiming that all people have the in-born potential for intimacy with both genders (all people are bisexual by nature, then brainwashed), it seems that Hollywood is pandering to the lowest common denominator and the worst case scenario.
So then, when a former child actor is finally ready to make the transition into adult acting, after the teen actor has gone a while without work, having heard such rejections as 'too light' and 'too sweet' and 'too young-looking' and 'too gay' and even 'too talented,' and finally decides to accept a 'compromise' role (compromising on his beliefs), and finally decides to sign the Hollywood contract, he has contractually locked himself into a life of closet sexuality, and will essentially be living a lie to his public and to himself for the rest of his life, or else suffer the possible loss of royalty income from his work for the rest of his life if he ever becomes so brave so as to actually come out in the future.
This is a problem faced by many former child actors these days, and for some of them, it is enough to make them walk away and forget acting, for others, the compromise is soothed by the lure of future fame, money, and success: they sell out to the morals of Hollywood, and thus, attach themselves to the karma generated by Hollywood (see below: Guilt by Association).
And when you study the matter of Hollywood's treatment of their former child actors, then perhaps it is a good idea if a former child actor takes time off from acting during those awkward (role-wise) late-teen years and maybe even goes to college, perhaps even to learn performing arts skills such as production, direction, and writing.
The solution to this problem is obvious, but has been ignored by most child actors until now, mostly because they have not been mature enough to handle the situation, and have been given bad advice by those around them, many whom they love. The solution is simple: come out as BISEXUAL BEFORE beginning your adult acting career (NOT homosexual, unless you have the COURAGE to handle the difference in reaction). Do it by an interview with a well-known homosexual/bisexual magazine, and also announce to a few selected Hollywood reporters (whom you have selected carefully to feed this inside information, and who you will nurture in the future) that you will soon be holding a press conference with important information for them and their colleagues, but do not hint too strong about the content. By coming out before your adult acting career, everything is out on the table for everyone to see, before you are hired, and the morals clause application against homosexuality becomes moot and unenforceable.
In your Bisexual/Homosexual coming-out interview and/or speech, tell the truth about yourself and your feelings. Apologize for having had heterosexual sex before marriage (if you have had any) and claim that you understand the problems relating to fatherless homes and irresponsible heterosexuality (do not mention abortion), and that you strongly feel that your newly announced expression of sexuality is a solution for that terrible problem. Apologize to the babies and children of the world and claim that you will no longer threaten the love they require and deserve from both their parents, in any way, by having heterosexual sex outside of marriage, and that if you need or want physical intimacy, you will pursue it with people of your same-gender (rubbers break, the rhythm method can be unreliable, and women sometimes entrap men and take their seed: besides the whole concept of heterosexual sex outside of marriage simply being a bad example for children).
Before coming out, create for yourself a 5-7 year plan for stardom: start slowly, take selected off-beat roles of high moral character, build upwards slowly to a starring role in five years: perhaps even consider working the stage for a while instead of television and movies. Create connections with people of like mind: homosexual/bisexual producers, directors, crew, actors/actresses, writers, etc., see if you can get work with them or with other independent productions (even overseas productions), or see if you can even bring them into your own production company which you can begin building at the same time, if you think you can handle it. Find someone to write scripts specifically for you, or co-write your scripts, or even learn to write and write your own scripts.
Do not financially extend yourself with expensive cars and homes, etc. (you'll just end up creating a situation for yourself where you MUST compromise), and do not leave your money in the hands of Hollywood professionals: you are better off managing your own money or letting your family manage it for you than letting some fast-talking Hollywood sheister convince you to give him your money (unless you are Corey Feldman).
And by the way: do not make love to the camera, and do not ever allow anyone to take nude pictures of you, unless you want those pictures distributed throughout the world some day.
All of the above weaved into a practical, integrated plan, with built-in flexibility (mostly in your own mind, if things go slowly), will result in eventual success, even in Hollywood, for even the most altruistic of actors with strong artistic sensibilities, and you could even end up being a good karmic role model for young people who may be on the verge of suicide due to concerns about their budding sexuality.
This is an altruistic and practical alternative to living a lie
the rest of your life, and it may require a little sacrifice
initially, but if planned and executed correctly, will inevitably
result in success. Or else, go sign that Hollywood contract, and
connect yourself to the karma of Hollywood through your acquiescence.
And remember, if YOU feel strong about this entire issue, but your
actor boyfriend does/can not, and you acquiesce to your boyfriend's
wishes, you have attached yourself to the anti-gay (genocidal) karma
of Hollywood, as explained in:

And by the way: how are Rupert Everett, Chad Allen, and Ellen DeGeneres doing since the public learned they are homosexual (and even Michael Stipes, who came out as a bisexual)? Good enough for you?

This is another True Hollywood Story, and it would be an hilarious story, really, if it wasn't truly so sad.
Once upon a time in a town called Hollywood, there was a woman named Demi Moore. She was an actress, a successful actress admired for her beauty and talent, and then, she married an actor, named Bruce Willis, admired for his own characteristics. Eventually, the marriage of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis produced three daughters, and they all seemed to be living the perfect Hollywood life (if such a thing exists). And Demi Moore was lauded as a Hollywood Super-Mom, for playing well the roles of both actress and mother, and all was well in LaLa Land for the Moore/Willis family.
Now, into this town of Hollywood was once born a young boy named Leonardo DiCaprio, born into what would be a broken family and bothered by his schoolmates just for being himself. Well, the trials and tribulations of his childhood apparently turned Little Leo into an idealistic, altruistic young man, exhibiting personality traits of a fierce intellect that deduces a certain type of morals for intelligent, young, idealistic, altruistic people. Instead of making the same mistakes as his parents, it looked like Little Leo would be smart enough to avoid making those mistakes and look for other appropriate solutions to his personal problems.
But before he was 'discovered,' it has been said, Leo had to succumb to performing in certain types of 'art' films, films which paid the bills and made his bones in Hollywood, but made them in a way that most young actors would rather avoid: he had expected too much too soon, and was ripe for the plucking, and Hollywood's seedier side plucked him. And when Little Leo was 'discovered' and began making movies in Hollywood, early in his career, he let his fans know that he did not embrace the Hollywood 'teenybopper' scene, and could often be heard (or read) answering questions as to whether he had a girlfriend (paraphrased): 'No, my schedule is to busy for me to have a girlfriend' (while at the same time often being found around town enjoying himself immensely: curious?).
And Little Leo showed his acting talent in the movie 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape?' when he played a mentally retarded young man and played it so well that he had some people convinced that the actor was mentally retarded himself. DiCaprio even went so far in showing the range of his talent as starring in the role of the bisexual French poet Arthur Rimbaud in the movie 'Total Eclipse,' but shortly afterwards, under certain bad Hollywood influences, DiCaprio again delved into some of the darker and seedier sides of Hollywood life that took him down, deep down into the depths of the pitfalls and traps that have engulfed the personal lives of many a young Hollywood celebrity.
Subsequently, as his star rose higher, Leonardo DiCaprio was followed by the paparrazzi one night to the home of Demi Moore (at the time married to Bruce Willis, with their three little daughters), and DiCaprio was reported as having been seen leaving that home the next morning: all the conclusions are left to the reader. And the conclusions were made by the Hollywood media, and the conclusions were not pretty, splashed as they were all over all the gossip rags, and subsequently, the marriage of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis was dissolved, to the great loss of the three daughters who were born to that mother and father.
And thus, Leonardo DiCaprio connected himself, his life, and his karma, to a situation which resulted in the breakup of a marriage with three children, and whether or not DiCaprio was involved in any actual sexual activity, the end result was the breakup of the family, with the resulting immense karma that is associated with such pain and suffering inflicted upon (3) children who will now have to live with much less of the love coming into their lives than they could have had should the family not have been broken up in such a manner.
Now it is several years later, the Demi Moore/Bruce Willis marriage with children is long dissolved, and you would expect that Demi Moore would pursue the type of social life that was flattering to her children. All of which leads to the most recent escapade with Ashton Kutcher playing the role of Demi's boy-toy lover and substitute father to her children (Yikes!). Hollywood, what a trip!
Now, I know for a statistical fact that there are people who will read this who will think 'Demi Moore and Bruce Willis deserve what they got because of what they give to the world: they are just a bunch of Hollywood low-lifes,' however, that is not a very nice thing to say, and it is a very negative way of looking at the matter, and also ignores the great penalty imposed on their three children, who are innocent victims, as are all children. And so, such situations, such dramatic life plays, happen in Hollywood all the time, and are used as fodder for amusement and commentary about Hollywood, but their impact is never taken as seriously as it should be, since the innocent children are the victims and since the price that is paid is increased pain and suffering in the lives of the victim children: and none of you out there are in favor of additional unnecessary pain and suffering in the lives of babies and children, are you?
And then, who are the victims of Hollywood, in this matter? Well, the first victims are always the children, and now, three more children in the world will have to grow up without one of their biological parents, and that is not a good thing, especially when both their birth parents are alive and well. And Demi Moore and Bruce Willis are under the karma of having left three children without one of their parents. And Leonardo DiCaprio has attached himself to the karma which the three children will experience. And Ashton Kutcher is a victim of his own karma in becoming a boy-toy for a woman who has three children, with all the ridicule and embarrassment that this will bring upon the children.

What's Really Going on in Hollywood!
And so, this is a True Hollywood Story, and it is not an unusual one, in fact, it happens every day in Hollywood, and what is the reaction of so many people to these every-day practices of child abuse?
Here's a Hollywood example for you: an actor who has gained a certain popularity among his fans for being conscientious in his role choices, eventually chooses a role in a movie where he falls in love with a woman who turns out to be married with children, and in the movie the actor eventually overcomes the problems and wins the woman, breaking up the woman's original marriage with children (or perhaps even, this even happens in real life to the actor).
A fan of this actor has been following him throughout his career, and has decided to himself, consciously or subconsciously: 'I like this actor and I wanna be just like him,' or 'I am going to use this actor as a role model.' The fan sees the actor in action and decides that it must be okay to fall in love with married women if his role model would do such a thing, and then the fan goes out and changes his perspective on sexual relations and eventually falls in love with a married woman with children, resulting in the breakup of that marriage with children. And only the fan and God know what was going on in the fan's mind which caused him to do the dirty deed in the first place.
Thus, because of the actor's actions, certain children will be forced to live their lives with their family broken up, denying them a certain quantifiable amount of love then, and throughout life, and thus, the people responsible for that lost love will experience the rebound negative karma from the loss of love by the children, including the fan who perpetrated the act, and the actor role model who inspired the fan to do the same thing, IF the fan was actually inspired by the actor to perpetrate the act, and only the fan and God know the truth about that.
Multiply this situation by the number of times it has actually happened, and the negative karma generated by such actions is incalculable, and incomprehensible. Suicide notes have been found where some gay teens have even claimed they went as far as forcing themselves to have sex with their 'beards,' in order to prove to others that they are not what they are (which actually makes them bisexual, and which sometimes proves they aren't exactly what they think they are). The use of beards has long been a favorite strategy of Hollywood agents and publicists, often recommended to, or imposed upon, a male celebrity, and sometimes the beard is even paid a lump sum or a salary to play the desired role. In the past, the 'beard' strategy has often been combined with leaked stories/pictures to selected reporters regarding liaisons between gay celebrities and females (beards or otherwise), which often then showed up in various rags, and in the modern-day these strategies are sometimes combined with paying Internet surfers for their opinions to combat fans who say their favorite celebrity is gay/bisexual.
And taking it even further, upon the recommendation of agents and publicists, some gay or gay-leaning bisexual celebrities even pick up hookers and/or hire call girls, and pay them primarily to spread stories about their (heterosexual) prowess throughout the community. However, there are always people in a celebrity's life who know the truth, and that truth often bubbles to the surface, either from the celebrity's own community, or the community of friends which the celebrity frequents.
And when all else fails, and when a young gay actor refuses to play ball and remain closeted, then there is always the old 'nude pictures' trick, where someone gets the young actor into a position where allegedly unflattering nude pictures can be taken of him, and then those pictures are used as blackmail for the entire career of the young actor, forcing the young actor to play ball and remain closeted, whether he likes it or not.
The agents, publicists, celebrities, etc., who do these things are not necessarily bad people, often they simply don't understand that their efforts are contributing to the disproportionate numbers of gay/bi teen suicides, and many of them simply do what they are doing for money, or for recognition. A made-for-TV movie that was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in October 2003 by Tapestry Films of Toronto and which originally aired on CTV (Canadian Television) on June 1, 2004, is entitled 'Prom Queen,' and is about the plight of 17 year old gay Ontario high school student Marc Hall who wanted to bring his boyfriend to his Catholic High School prom and ended up suing his school, and won the right to do so in a controversial court case.

Anyone choosing ANY role in a movie about a gay teenager who wanted to bring his boyfriend to the prom, in light of the true nature of 'soul' and the disproportionate and epidemic rates of gay/bisexual teen suicide, is the highest possible moral choice containing the highest possible personal and social value and the greatest amount of positive karma, and any actor choosing even a small role in such a piece shows their dedication to the theme of the movie and is an indication of their commitment to the issues involved.
However, gay/bisexual fans who are looking for ground-breaking revelations from the film 'Prom Queen' (which is about the story of Marc Hall, the 17 year old gay Ontario teen who sued and won the right to bring his boyfriend to his Catholic high school prom), may be disappointed with the total message of the film:
It is now well-known that gay and bisexual teenagers are committing suicide at 30-40% rates as compared to the total of all teen suicides. Now, teen suicides as a whole are a tragic problem, and end up destroying lives and families, however, since rates of 3-10% of admitted gay/bisexual people are often accepted as fact, that means that gay and bisexual teenagers are committing suicide 4-10 times more often than other teens, and this is often because teens who choose more dangerous (active heterosexual) lifestyles, which often result in fatherless/single-parent/teen-parent homes, end up harassing and persecuting teens who choose to be more prudent and cautious, and who do not want to bring a fatherless child into the world or a child at all (perhaps until they are ready to support the child): so the teens causing the problems of fatherless homes for the babies and the children are some of the exact same teens causing the problem of disproportionate and epidemic gay/bisexual teen suicide rates!

Although many gay/bisexual children/teens do not consciously realize it, choosing a prudent and cautious gay/bisexual lifestyle, as opposed to a dangerous active heterosexual lifestyle, shows that the gay/bisexual child/teen innately understands the importance of a strong father-child relationship and the human carnage caused by fatherless homes, and it also suggests strongly that the gay/bisexual child/teen understands about the issues surrounding the tragic problem of gay/bisexual teen suicide.
It's not a matter of these kids having done years of research, it is a matter of them knowing deep in their hearts, minds, and souls, that what they choose to do is the right thing to do, for themselves, for babies, for children, and for everybody and everything else. And often, no matter what abuse they take, they stick to their guns and continue to believe they are right.
Now, when Ellen DeGeneres came out as a lesbian, and joined the Human Rights Campaign (HRC ), it was eventually discovered that the rate of gay/bisexual teen suicides declined for a period, and HRC claimed that this was because Ellen came out and gay/bisexual teens were buttressed by the psychological support her courage showed them, and the public support which her coming out produced, even though there was some obvious public resistance to her coming out.
If it is known that a gay/bisexual celebrity coming out helps reduce the number of gay/bisexual teen suicides, then gay/bisexual celebrities who DO NOT come out and remain in the closet for their own reasons, are actually contributing to the rate of gay/bisexual teen suicides: this is simple, converse logic (see DiCaprio/Moore/Willis/Kutcher Scandal Revisited and Celebrities With Beards and Where Have You Gone, Rock Hudson? and A Tale of Two Actors).
One of the complaints of gay/bisexual equal rights organizations over the past few years has been the failure of gay-oriented film-makers to use publicly out gay actors in the major roles of their productions. The reasons are many: many gay actors who desire to participate in such roles for the benefit of the good messages they produce, still do not want to come out or be outed because of how they think it would impact their career; some gay actors have actor boyfriends who are deeply closeted and adhesioned to Hollywood contracts and must be protected by secrecy; many productions of gay-oriented pieces feel that using a gay actor will harm the promotion and publicity of the piece; etc., ad nauseum, all of which contributes to the problem of gay/bisexual teen suicide by not implementing the logical solution.
And the way the production and publicity crews of 'Prom Queen' handle the casting, production, and promotion of this film will tell us much about their true intentions. We will see if their true purpose for producing this film is to help promote the plight of gay/bisexual teens and help implement solutions for their tragic problems, or if some other less benevolent motive is really at hand, such as a prejudicial anti-Catholic/anti-Christian agenda instead of a pro-gay agenda.
This does not mean that many of the actors involved are not gay/bisexual, it just means that it would be beyond normal courage for the individuals involved to admit such truths and for the publicity department of the film to acknowledge their being out, and thus, 'Prom Queen' will fall far short of performing the necessary functions for gay/bisexual teens, and this is a problem.
And as a gay/bisexual man who deeply and sincerely regrets every single heterosexual act of his life for the hypocrisy and immorality it exhibited (and who has worked hard in his life to work off the karma from such acts), I must say that I have no need or desire for immoral alleged heterosexual people attaching themselves to the karma of pieces that have pro-homosexual themes, and I would much prefer that gay/bisexual people, closeted or otherwise, be the featured performers in such pieces and perform all the important work related to the film, and that alleged heterosexual people who can not accept the true nature of soul should just stay away from such efforts until some time in the future, when they can at the very least admit to themselves the true nature of soul, and the error of their ways. Then, they would be able to use the good karma generated from such choices to work off their bad karma, instead of just wasting that good karma by living a lifestyle that is morally the exact opposite of the lifestyle they are allegedly supporting.
Now, some people may say that all of the above is simply the private business of the people involved, and while that is true, people who move into the public limelight and who are ripe to be made into 'role models' by young people, are subject to a more intense form of scrutiny for their actions than the everyday private person. This is because, in moving into the public sector, where a person derives benefit from services performed for public consumption (politics, entertainment, etc.), the public person moves into an area where he/she becomes an example for young people within their sphere of influence, and takes on the responsibility of such an important role.
Thus, in a time when gay/bisexual teens are committing suicide at disproportionate and epidemic rates, and when even just one celebrity coming out makes a difference in the lives of so many gay/bisexual teens, the alleged sexuality of a celebrity is important because of just these reasons, and any celebrity who goes to extreme lengths to avoid being outed as a gay/bisexual person, is being a bad role model for the youth of the world by perpetuating the anti-gay, genocidal stereotypes of gay/bisexual people being pandered by the film industry and by the media (and enforced through the morals clauses of their contracts, see Where Have You Gone, Rock Hudson?), and is contributing to the death of so many gay/bisexual teens. And thus, all money earned as an alleged advantage from that public closeting (lying), is blood money at the expense of gay/bisexual teens all throughout the world, and very bad karma besides.
For God's sake, the lives of gay/bisexual teens are at stake here!!! And if not their lives at stake, it's the quality of life for the sweetest, smartest, most sensitive, and most moral children in the world!
So even though there are definite positive and constructive messages that will come out of the film 'Prom Queen,' and positive karma for many of those involved, the film 'Prom Queen' still comes up short of being a production that gay/bisexual people all throughout the world can be totally proud of, and totally proud of the actors and production crew of this still special film.
Even though I have not seen 'Prom Queen' because I live in the U.S., from reviews I have seen, I understand it contains an innate anti-Catholic/anti-Christian bias, perhaps even as much if not more than it's pro-gay theme.
This was one of my concerns about this film from the beginning: that it would be as much, if not more, of an anti-Catholic /anti-Christian film as it was a pro-gay film, and I expressed this concern in this article right from the beginning, and apparently, I was right about that, again.
The people who control the media and the entertainment industry, have been expressing their innate anti-Catholic and anti-Christian bias and prejudice for decades now, and in many instances, they are actually right. But the truth is, that the source of all the hate and prejudice against gay people in the media and in the world, and even, in religious history, originates from Orthodox Judaism:
The incriminating verses, are of course, in the book of Leviticus, specifically, 18:20. Read those verses, and then do research into the doctrines of Orthodox Judaism as it relates to homosexuality, and then also understand that often, Orthodox Rabbis can be found on the set of Hollywood and otherwise film productions, and have often replaced 'censors' who were of a Christian nature in the past. And this is why, no matter how many inroads have been made by gay people over the past several years into attitudes in the film industry, there is still a pervasive negative stereotyping to even allegedly positive gay characters in films, to the point where you NEVER see a gay character in a film who is like Trevor Blumas in real life, or like Michael Pardo in real life: a gay character who is as skilled in athletics as in the arts, and who more accurately represents a cross-section of gay people than do many of the effeminate gay stereotypes that are found in so many films. And part of the stereotyping is that often, gay people do not play gay roles in many films.
That type of stereotyping found it's way into 'Prom Queen' also, even though many gay actors played roles in that film, gay actors such as Dave Foley, and Scott Thompson, and even Trevor Blumas. But to those of you who saw that film, isn't it true that all of those gay actors played straight roles? And isn't it true that a straight actor, Aaron Ashmore, played the role of Marc Hall?
I ask you: why didn't Trevor Blumas play the role of Marc Hall? I mean, he would have been perfect for it, don't you think? Especially with the way the issue of gay dates at high school proms impacted Trevor's own life, since he did not go to his prom with a girl and obviously wanted very much to go to his prom with his boyfriend at the time, Hayden Christensen, which actually, he may have done, but obviously, if that DID happen, then Hayden was disguised so he would not be recognized and did not go explicitly with Trevor.
And so, a gay actor like Trevor, who would have been as perfect for that part as Trevor truly is for his role in 'Ice Princess' (since he so exactly meets the details of his character 'Teddy Harwood,' except for the heterosexual element, of course), did not play that role, when by all rights, he should have. And this is part of the innate stereotyping and prejudice that still finds it's way into so many Hollywood, and even, Canadian films these days, boyz and girlz, industries that are controlled by, yes, Jews. And that is the truth, and it is not anti-semitic:

The young man had colored his hair from dark to blonde, has been described as being better looking than Hayden, and it has been claimed that he is an actor also. Subsequently, speculation grew on the Internet and other environments that Hayden Christensen was gay and that the young man in the picture was his boyfriend.

However, the details of the contents of that picture do not really matter to the contents of this article, but instead, the details of the contents of the heart, mind, and soul, of Trevor Blumas and Hayden Christensen, is what really matters to this article, and should be what matters to you also, I suggest.
A few years ago, Hayden Christensen appeared in a film entitled 'Life as a House' in which he apparently played a disturbed homosexual, dressed in extreme fashion and spiking and coloring his hair and wearing jewelry and piercings in a reckless manner, but in which his character eventually rejects and impugns homosexuals and homosexuality, and which is also one of the themes of the movie itself.
A few years ago, Trevor Blumas appeared in a film entitled 'The Unsaid' which appeared on the surface (in the end) to be a film portraying homosexuals in an apparently negative light, but actually did not, and Trevor played his role sensitive to homosexual issues, with an awareness of gay/bisexual teen suicide issues, and as if he blamed his father in the film for his gay teen suicide, and not his 'molester.'
A few years ago, Hayden Christensen obtained the role of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) in the 'Star Wars' series of films, and a few years ago, it is said, Hayden Christensen did an interview with 'The Advocate' magazine in which it has been described by some that he all but says he's gay. And a few years ago Trevor Blumas started doing things like spiking his hair, and wearing necklaces, and wearing earrings in both his ears, and wearing rings on his right hand ring finger, and wearing exclusively silver jewelry.
Recently, after the publication of the above-mentioned picture in the magazine claiming that he was gay, Hayden Christensen, previously described by some people as 'anti-social' and rarely seen or photographed with a girl, has embarked upon a personal publicity campaign denying that he is gay, including saying exactly so in an article, being photographed with a 'female friend' in Australia, and publicizing his attempts to extend kissing scenes with Natalie Portman on the set of 'Star Wars: Episode III' which recently completed filming in Australia. So instead of being proud of his boyfriend, Hayden Christensen lives his life like he is ashamed of that boyfriend.

And often, no matter what abuse they take, they stick to their guns and continue to believe they are right.
From his role choices in the past and present, it is clear that Trevor Blumas understands the importance of a strong father-child relationship and the human carnage caused by fatherless homes, and it is also clear that he understands about the tragic problem of gay/bisexual teen suicide.
Now, when Ellen DeGeneres came out as a lesbian, and joined the Human Rights Campaign (HRC ), it was eventually discovered that the rate of gay/bisexual teen suicides declined for a period, and HRC claimed that this was because Ellen came out and gay/bisexual teens were buttressed by the psychological support her courage showed them, and the public support which her coming out produced, even though there was some obvious public resistance to her coming out.
If it is known that a gay/bisexual celebrity coming out helps reduce the number of gay/bisexual teen suicides, then gay/bisexual celebrities who DO NOT come out and remain in the closet for their own reasons, are actually contributing to the rate of gay/bisexual teen suicides: this is simple, converse logic (see DiCaprio/Moore/Willis/Kutcher Scandal Revisited and Celebrities With Beards and Where Have You Gone, Rock Hudson?).
Now, some people may say that all of the above is simply the private business of the people involved, and while that is true, people who move into the public limelight and who are ripe to be made into 'role models' by young people, are subject to a more intense form of scrutiny for their actions than the everyday private person. This is because, in moving into the public sector, where a person derives benefit from services performed for public consumption (politics, entertainment, etc.), the public person moves into an area where he/she becomes an example for young people within their sphere of influence, and takes on the responsibility of such an important role.
Thus, in a time when gay/bisexual teens are committing suicide at disproportionate and epidemic rates, and when even just one celebrity coming out makes a difference in the lives of so many gay/bisexual teens, the alleged sexuality of a celebrity is important because of just these reasons, and any celebrity who goes to extreme lengths to avoid being outed as a gay/bisexual person, is being a bad role model for the youth of the world by perpetuating the anti-gay, genocidal stereotypes of gay/bisexual people being pandered by the film industry and by the media (and enforced through the morals clauses of their contracts, see Where Have You Gone, Rock Hudson?), and is contributing to the death of so many gay/bisexual teens. And thus, all money earned as an alleged advantage from that public closeting (lying), is blood money at the expense of gay/bisexual teens all throughout the world, and very bad karma besides.
For God's sake, the lives of gay/bisexual teens are at stake here!!! And if not their lives at stake, it's the quality of life for the sweetest, smartest, most sensitive, and most moral children in the world!
So, one young man named Trevor exhibits courage of an extraordinary quality, and one young man named Hayden exhibits cowardice of an unflattering nature. One young man exhibits obvious qualities of intelligence and compassion, and one young man exhibits obvious qualities of ignorance and insensitivity. One young man embarks upon a path dedicated to helping other people, and one young man embarks on a path dedicated to helping only himself. One young man shows that he cares about fatherless homes and gay/bisexual teens committing suicide, and one young man shows he cares not.
Hayden Christensen and Trevor Blumas are a case study that prove that true beauty is not defined by only physical attributes, but also by mental and spiritual attributes that are just as, if not more, important than beauty that is only skin (or face) deep.
You see, the thing about Trevor Blumas is, as beautiful as Trevor is at first glance, his heart, mind, and soul are even more beautiful.
And some other people, like Hayden Christensen, who at first glance appear to be beautiful in their own right, are not really as beautiful as they may seem, and could learn alot from a remarkable young man named Trevor Blumas.

It is now well-known that gay and bisexual teenagers are committing suicide at 30-40% rates as compared to the total of all teen suicides. Now, teen suicides as a whole are a tragic problem, and end up destroying lives and families, however, since rates of 3-10% of admitted gay/bisexual people are often accepted as fact, that means that gay and bisexual teenagers are committing suicide 4-10 times more often than other teens, and this is often because teens who choose more dangerous (active heterosexual) lifestyles, which often result in fatherless/single-parent/teen-parent homes, end up harassing and persecuting teens who choose to be more prudent and cautious, and who do not want to bring a fatherless child into the world or a child at all (perhaps until they are ready to support the child): so the teens causing the problems of fatherless homes for the babies and the children are some of the exact same teens causing the problem of disproportionate and epidemic gay/bisexual teen suicide rates!
