This is my first sweater ever!  I bought the green thick & thin yarn on sale in a clearance basket for only $2.oo.  I think it was so cheap because it is such a bright grass green -- It's a little overwhelming.  I had intended to make a solid color sweater.  Then halfway through the project, I realized I wouldn't have enough, so I bought these two colors of mohair & learned fairisle on-the-fly, to finish the front.  I really like the play of textures in the combination of mohair and nubby thick & thin yarn.  I'm also pleased with the way the blues tone down and harmonize with the vivid green.

One thing I learned about fitting on this project was how I don't like overly dropped shoulders.  This was a bit bigger than I expected & for a while, it really bothered me.  Now, a year later, I can't remember the preconception I'd had originally, so I like it much better!
And here's a side view...
... and a detail of the color work.
