Argyle Turtleneck, in progress
Here is the front  of the sweater.  I have about one more argyle diamond until I start shaping the armhole.
The back will also be argyles, while the sleeves and turtleneck will be cable ribbing in solid navy.
The yarns are both vintage finds from my favorite thrift store.  They are knit up on size 6 needles for the body and size 3's for the ribbing.
The navy is just plain old Coats & Clark 100% virgin wool, worsted weight.  The olive with cream, tan, and brown flecks is beautiful, 100% wool from France, probably from the 1950's.
All this wool (plus there will be enough left to make a hat & socks, too) was only $5.oo!
The pattern is adapted from Rowan's
A Season's Tale.
Below is a detail of the argyle pattern.
