Darrin Atkins was raised in Stockton, California, and graduated from the University of the Pacific. He has worked for Premiere Magazine, Nevada Magazine, Investor's Business Daily, the Reno Gazette-Journal, and The Record. He currently resides in northern California.

Darrin Atkins has written numerous books, including The End of Me, Find Me in the Fog, Where He's At, As Good As Dead, The Quitter, and You Weren't Here, as well as a 3-novel set that consists of Still in Hollywood, The Last Obsession and Hermits Rest.

Darrin Atkins lived at the Grand Canyon from October of 1997 to March of 1998. He worked at the El Tovar Hotel and volunteered at the Museum of Natural Collection at the Grand Canyon Visitors Center. Darrin resided in a small cabin close to the railroad tracks and spent many days watching and waving at the tourists who came in on the train.

Darrin Atkins is the author of 30 books. His journalism experience includes employment at Nevada and Premiere magazines, and at newspapers including The Record, Investor�s Business Daily and the Reno Gazette-Journal. He lives in San Francisco.

Darrin Atkins began his writing career with a part-time copy clerk position at The Record newspaper in Stockton, California, way back in 1995. At the publication of this book he had written over nine autobiographical books, over eight crime fiction books, and over nine books of general fiction. His most significant work is a three-novel autobiographical series.
