| Haughton made a great start to there second match in divsion 2 taking the first set 25-19 wit some excellent hitting and blocking. In the second set Leicester came out fighting and started to play some good volleyball, resulting in them wining the second set 25-20. The third set saw Haughton regain there confidence and they had a narrow lead 14-13, when the Leicester setter played an illegal move by blocking when he was a back court player for the 3rd time in the match. The referee missed this again and the frustration took it's tole with Ian Buckle being red carded for his protests. It was a very harsh decission. Haughton fought hard but finally lost out 25-21. In the fourth set Haughton started brightly but mental and physical fatigue got the better of them and early title contenders Leicester took the match with a 25-19 win to take them to the top of the table. Haughton can take some positivs away from this game knowing they can compete with the best in the league and hopefully with a bit of luck there fortunes will change for the better. Haughton must now look to the 16th and 17th of October for there first victory where they face Thames Valley in London and Solent in Southhampton |
