| Sean Astin and Patty Duke co-star in this made for TV drama. The movie revolves around an eight year old child named Brian Reynolds (Sean) who is very shy and reserved. His mother Barbara (Patty) is a very stressed out divorced mother who vents her frustrations by beating on her son. She hires a babysitter (Nancy McKeon) who discovers this fact and is faced with the decision of letting this continue or reporting it to the authorities. In 1982 the movie was nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Children's Program and in 1983 the movie won the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in a Television Special - Nancy McKeon.
