Michael Newman (Sandler) is a very hard working man. He has a beautiful wife, Donna (Beckinsale) and two children, Ben and Samantha. Unfortunately, he is such a hard working man that he hardly gets to spend time with his wonderful family. He then meets Morty (Walken), a salesman who offers him a remote control capable of controlling actual events in his life. The remote goes a bit haywire and ends up fast-forwarding through some of the most important things that have happened in his life.
