| The story continues as Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) are still on their way to Mt. Doom to destroy the One Ring and this is where things get complicated because there are about 3 different (involved) stories going on at the same time. (I hope I get this part all right but this is how I understand it) Gandalf and Pippin go to Rohan and somehow are warned that the dark army is coming. Then they go to Minas Tirith to ask the king there to help because the Rohan king is way too proud to ask for help. The king at Minas Tirith has been taking care of Gondor in lue of the fact that the true king will return one day to take over his duties. Alas, Aragorn gets over his self-doubt and steps foward as king mainly to get the Army of the Dead to help them in the war. So Aragorn ends up being the true King of Men and he leads the live and dead into a massive battle while Frodo grows weaker and struggles to destroy the ring. Once again there are way too many awards to name so here is a helpful link. The movie was released on December 17, 2003. | ||||||||||||||||
