Buell Family Research Project

PICTURES

Older Photos in chronological order.

Oliver Clinton Buell, 1920 - written on the back in my Grandmother Jean's handwriting, "Oliver Clinton Buell, Houghton Lake, 1920 approx." This is the only picture I have of my Great Grandfather.

Stanley and Jean Buell, 1941 - I believe this was taken on their wedding day, March 29, 1941.

Stan and Jim Buell, Jean and Gerry Tupper, 1941 - Written on the back in my Dad Robert's handwriting is "March 6, 1941, Jim & Stan Buell, Jean & Gerry Tupper." However, I believe this may have actually been taken on March 30, 1941, the day after Stan and Jean's wedding. See the following picture, because they appear to be from the same set of photos.

Stan and Jean Buell, 1941 - written on the back in my Grandfather Stan's handwriting, "3-30-41, Morning after our wedding."

Robert Stanley Buell's high school graduation, 1965 - From left to right: Robert, Jean, Stan, Engle Buell.

Gravestones

Oliver and Engle Buell - my Great Grandparents

Dyball lot - Where my Great Grandparents (Oliver and Engle Buell), Oliver's sister Minnie, and Minnie's husband George are buried. The story is that my family could not afford to bury my Great Grandfather Oliver (he died during the depression because he became ill and could not afford medication), so he was buried in his brother-in-law's lot.

Stan and Jean Buell headstone - Where my Grandfather Stan Buell is buried.

Army plaque for my Grandpa Stan Buell. It says, "Stanley G Buell, CPL US Army Air Corps, World War II, Jun 3 1914 - Dec 14 1992."

Russ and Gerry Conlen headstone - Where my Great Uncle Russ Conlen is buried. Gerry is my Grandma Jean Buell's sister.

Army plaque for my Great Uncle Russ Conlen. It says, "Russell J Conlen, TEC 4 US Army, World War II, Oct 31 1919 - Nov 11 1995."

The following pictures have no real historic value, I just put them in for fun!

Picture of Mom, Dad, and their cats, Neville and the twins, Fox and Dana.

Picture of my family in Alton, IL. Tom has on his Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps uniform. The Cavaliers participate in Drum Corps International competitions every summer, and they are the 1992 and 1995 World Champions. My brother was a member from 1993 to 1998

Some more GREAT Cavalier pictures!

Picture of Mom, me, Belle, and Fox. Belle is my Mom's golden retriever.

Finally, pictures of my 'babies', Mena and Frasier. Mena is a (rather dark) full blooded chocolate point Siamese and Frasier is a full blooded flame point Himalayan. In case you were wondering, yes, they are very lazy, when they are not beating up on each other! (or playing with their twist ties!)
