Mundus Guide
And now... my ENORMOUS guide on how to beat Mundus in Dante Must Die! mode.
The HUGE final boss of one of the best games ever Devil May Cry(1) is...a joke. Seriously, if you play the game (which you must have since you are reading this) you'll be saying the same thing. Unfortunately, if you've been playing him in Dante Must Die! mode, you'll be saying something different. THAT is why I made this guide, a guide for people who are used to the easy Mundus who use the same tactic they used against this, and keep on dying. So, without further ado...the MUNDUS GUIDE.
Who is Mundus?
In the very beginning of the game, you'll see a statue of a winged man holding a blue flame. If you go to it and press (X) the text will read "This must be a god that the castellan worshipped,,," that statue is Mundus. Actually, it WAS Mundus before your father "Sparda" and 2000 years came along. You'll see the same statue in sitting position in the cut-scene after you permanently beat Nelo Angelo, and he says something like: "Trish, Vergil has fallen. You know what you must now do..." "Yes...master." and also in the cut scene before the final boss which goes something like this. "Once again I must face a Sparda. Strange fate isn't it?" "Strange and ironic it will end the same way." "*chuckles* Irony has favored you this time, look...there!" a light comes out of Mundus' chest and shines upon a Trish "in shackes". "*gasp* Trish!" "Don't even think about it, blink, she dies!" "You- -!" Mundus shoots 3 lasers from his 3 eyes. "ARG!" "Dante!" "It is pitful that humans will only be humans, no more. Has the Sparda blood been spoiled over the years? It is time to end your pitiful life NOW!!!!" Mundus' middle eye charges up nad lets out a great beam. "Dante!" She pushes him out of the way and takes the hit. "Trish" She falls. And I kind of forgot how it went after that...lol. Anyway, that's Mundus, or was. So what happened to the fair looking winged-man? Well, apparently he got a haircut, grew a beard, and has a huge hole in his chest (probably because of Sparda).

Recommended Buys
The whole game in Dante Must Die! mode must have left your items inventory and red orbs to the bare minimum, so take some time to get money to buy the following: things: All 7 Purple Orbs All Blue Orbs and Blue Orb fragments possible One Vital Star (I would buy some more but, it is the maximum number I can buy) cost:4500 at least 3 Untouchables (you can only buy one, but there are ALOT more to find) cost:6000 at least 4 Holy Waters cost:6000 abilities: Meteor Level: 2 Air Hike Weapons(you have to find them) Shotgun Grenadegun
under construction!
Mundus: Stage One
please note that cost stands for EACH SINGLE ITEM
Have you ever fought N.Gin in Crash: Bandicoot 3? Or ever played Starfox? Yah it's almost exactly like Crash:Bandicoot 3, and probably like Starfox, I don't know cuz I have never played Starfox before. Anyway, it's the basic idea: you area flying object, there is a flying object in front of you, you have to be the winning flying object. That is the basic idea, but in detail, it won't be that easy.
Offensive Strategy
Your weapons in this level are special, instead of using your projectile weapons, you pretty much have a cannon which you launch runes from, the shoot button should NOT be held, because it shoots out VERY SLOWLY, you have to press it yourself, and fast enough so the cannon will act as a machine gun. Your slash attack is now "vortex" since you are flying, but it is only in level one, but don't ask me why, this attack cannot attack Mundus, it is mainly used to fly faster, avoiding his attacks faster, and sometimes to destroy Mundus' attacks. Finally, your last and most powerful attack is the dragon launch, since you are already a "devil" if you press L1 (which is normally used to change you into a "devil") you will launch out a dragon that acts like a missle of sorts, and it's power depends on how many runes have been filled on the devil trigger. Also note that when you launch the dragon, your camera will follow the dragon, don't worry, you are invincible when you use the dragon attack, but you can't shoot either. The basic strategy is to shoot Mundus, but doing that is actually quite hard. Mainly because in the beginning of the level Mundus will make a shield. The shield is created through four "generators" which come in the form of huge balls with runes on it. When it is up, you cannot hurt Mundus, if you shoot at him, there will be a cool "ripple" effect, but it will do nothing to Mundus. In order to break the shield, obviously, you have to destroy the rune balls using your "rune cannon", but an easier way is to use the dragon cannon, the shield can't protect Mundus from this!! MY strategy would be to start off with a full trigger, get as close as you can to Mundus before he attacks, and when he does, launch the dragon, after the dragon hits, use two devil stars (which is equivalent to a full trigger) and launch again, and again, and again, and again, and again, if you used nothing but dragons, Mundus'' health should be at 1%, that means, the bar is empty, just a couple, and I mean a "couple" of rune shots and he is dead...for the first part.
