| Sample Fetishes Harmony Flute Level 1, Gnosis 5 This small flute is made from hickory and has many small feathers attached to it. When activated an played (this requires a Performance roll), the flute emits a harmonious melody; all aggressive creatures who hear the song must make Successful Rage rolls or cease fighting. If they are attacked, they may defend themselves, but they can initiate no offensive action. To create a Harmony Flute, one of the following spirit types must be bound into the hickory flute: Peace, Calm, Water, or Bird spirit. Spirit Tracer Level 2, Gnosis 5 This is a human hair suspended in an iron ingot. When the wielder concentrates upon a specific spirit, the ingot pulls in that direction. To create a Spirit Tracer, one of the following spirit types must be bound into the ingot: a Hunting or Predator spirit, or one that has the Charm: Tracking. Baneskin Level 3, Gnosis 7 This tiny piece of a Bane spirit is carefully wrapped in cloth and worn as an amulet. When activated, it causes all malevolent spirits, especially Banes, to react to the wearer as if she were a kindred soul - a "wolf in Bane's clothing" as it were. Fang Dagger Level 3, Gnosis 6 This dagger is carved from the tooth of some great beast. After the character has made a successful melee attack, he can activate the dagger. If successful, the damage inflicted is doubled as the fang "bites" deeper into the wound. The damage is aggravated. To create a Fang Dagger, one of the following spirit types must be bound into the tooth: War, Pain, Death, or Snake spirit. Phoebe's Veil Level 3, Gnosis 7 This is a small, golden pendant in the shape of a half moon. It is attached to a leather thong and meant to be worn around the neck. When the pendant is activated, the wearer becomes invisible to both mundane creatures and spirits for one minute per success scored. This works against all senses but touch (sight, sound, scent). To create Phoebe's Veil, one of the following spirit types must be bound into the pendant: Illusion, Shadow, Hiding, or Chameleon spirit. Sanctuary Chimes Level 3, Gnosis 6 This miniature tubular bell, when activated, emits chimes into the wind. All spirits, unless invited to do so, may not Materialize within 100 feet. To create Sanctuary Chimes, one of the following spirit types must be bound into the tubular bell: Protection, Guardian, or Turtle spirit. Klaive Level 4, Gnosis 6 A klaive is a ritual dagger of the Garou Klaives are rare weapons, for they are made of silver, and their manufacture and use are deadly to Garou. A klaive is about as big as a Bowie knife. A Garou who carries a klaive loses one point from his effective Gnosis rating (because the blade is Silver). A War spirit is usually bound into the Klaive, allowing the weapon to inflict aggravated damage upon non-Garou foes. Without the spirit, a klaive does not inflict aggravated damage. However, a Garou does not need to attune a klaive that has no spirit in it. Pulling a klaive on another Garou is considered a grave action, for a klaive duel is most often a duel to the death. Nonetheless, klaive duels among Garou are becoming increasingly common as the wilds dwindle and tribal friction grows. The difficulty to attack with a klaive is 6, and it inflicts Strength +2 damage. Because it is a silver weapon, Garou may not soak this damage. Monkey Puzzle Level 4, Gnosis 6 This talisman of amber contains a single human hair. When activated, it causes all humans viewing the Garou to believe him a normal human, regardless of current form. However, an action such as tearing out an enemy's throat will be seen as the act of a psychotic. To create a Monkey Puzzle, one of the following spirit types must be bound into the talisman: Ghost, Illusion, or Trickster. Spirit Whistle Level 4, Gnosis 8 This small ivory whistle, when activated and blown emits a wailing scream causing immense pain to all spirits within the wielder's line of sight. Any spirits present must roll Gnosis (difficulty 6) and score a number of successes equal to or greater than the wielder's successes; otherwise, they will flee from the cream. To create a Spirit Whistle, one of the following spirit types must be bound into the ivory whistle: Creaming, Madness, Discord, or Screech Owl spirit.
Level 5, Gnosis 7 These are the legendary klaives of heroes. They are as big as swords and, like their smaller counterparts, are made of silver. A Garou who carries a Grand Klaive loses two points from his effective Gnosis rating (because the blade is Silver). A War spirit is usually bound into the Grand Klaive, allowing it to inflict aggravated damage upon non Garou foes. Without the spirit, a Grand Klaive does not inflict aggravated damage. However, a Garou does not deed to attune a Grand Klaive that has no spirit in it. Grand Klaives are very rare and often handed down by Garou lineage, especially among the Silver Fangs, Fianna and Shadow Lords. Besides the usual War spirit, another spirit is sometimes bound into the Grand Klaive - for example, a Gnosis spirit (to provide magical energy to the Garou), or even an Ancestor spirit. Because these weapons are so honored and legendary, the secondary spirit does not mind sharing the fetish. The difficulty to attack with a Grand Klaive is 7, and it inflicts Strength +4 damage. Because it is a silver weapon, Garou may not soak this damage. |
