The Path of The Hero
Episode VI: The Price of Information
I went back to Doronkias cave. I didnt know what to expect but I thought maybe if it was a well known ritual he would have books or something.
I found a gateway. I knew it might be suicide but I was dead if I didnt find out something. So I closed my eyes and jumped in.
I never had a sensation like what was going on in my body. Not really pleasure or pain, more a mixture of the two.
When I stopped moving I knew I was in hell. It was ugly. I know its portrayed by huge stalactites and terrifying animals. Those things were to beautiful for this place.
Then I realized that the guard at the gateway was running away. I knew he would tell them I was there. I fired a small energy ball to knock him off his feet. Then I ran up and clothes lined him knocking his head off. I didnt know where he went and I didnt care.  I knew I needed to get done fast.
Most of the demons ignored me. The air, or whatever it was, smelled like burning sulfur mixed with human fecal matter. The walls were smudged with some gelatinous substance. I quickly realized that these were the homes of lost souls. People lived down here. It reminded me of the ghettos the Jews had to endure during the third rheic. I hated it. I was only glad that unlike the other poor fools down there. I wasnt plagued by the constant feeling of abandonment from the world.
The funny thing was that hell wasnt much different from the streets I grew up on.
I navigated the streets like I had been there many times. Somehow I knew where I was going. Though I didnt see any danger I stayed on guard.
I eventually found a library. When I stepped through the doors the librarian suddenly looked terrified.
He reached for what looked like an alarm. I grabbed a knife out of my pocket and threw it so it pinned his hand to a wall. Then I fired an energy ball leaving a stain of blood on the wall where his hand was.
Listen you dont give me any trouble and thats all youll loose. I said, Im here for information.
I know you, Darkwolf! He said, How did you die?
I didnt, I snuck in. I said then I thought about it, You act as if Im meant to come here when I die.
Yes, youre no hero, just a killer of villains. You do it for yourself, nothing but a murderer. He said.
Then I began to look through books while thinking about what he said. I eventually came across the one I was looking for.
I read on the ritual, I found out that to kill the new demon I had to separate the heart from the body and then kill the heart.
On the way out  I grabbed a few spell books and combat strategies. And I told the librarian that he had been a big help.
Either kill me or take me with you, He said, Lucifer will torture me and I would rather be in a lower level of hell then have to suffer him.
I walked up and without saying a word put my hand on his forehead and fired an energy ball leaving a bloodstain where his head was. Then I grabbed my knife and ran. I ran all the way back to the portal. I didnt know if I could get through or not but I jumped into it anyways. Luckily I did get through and after the sensation left me I stood up in Doronkias cave. I admit I should have done something to make sure nothing came through that gateway. But I thought it might have been usefull. So I left it. An action I could never have contemplated the consequences to.
