We ran and got the others. Then we ran to our positions on the hill. The armies of Michael and Lucifer were racing toward each other. I was humbled instantly when I realized I was in charge. "Line Up!" I commanded. They moved shoulder to shoulder. I stepped behind them.
"Charge it up!" I yelled. Janus charged the giant's hammer. Alexander charged the demonic wave. Amanda, charged the Valkrye's lance. Brently charged the lightning attack. And Zebediah, charged the vampire drain. Meanwhile I was charging an attack called the Big Ball. I charged the huge blue ball of energy over my head until it fell on my shoulders. It charged bigger and bigger until I couldn't hold it anymore. I threw it in the masses of Lucifer's army. The ball of energy expanded when it hit the ground. "Fire!" I commanded. They all fired a wave of blasts. A part of the army broke off and started charging toward us.
"Charge up!" I commanded. Those of us who could ascend did so to our highest levels. Janus then grew in size. I gave the fire at will command and waves of blasts were fired killing thousands of demons.
As the mass of demons grew closer I yelled, "DemonDoggs!" It was understood as a charge command. We ran toward them.
When we collided we were greatly outnumbered but no out powered. We fought with great valor.
I was terrified that my friends would be killed. I didn't let it effect my fighting. I knew above all we had to win this battle. I realized that stopping the evil was the most important thing. My bloodlust, which I had obtained so many years ago had finally disbursed. I had become the hero that I was meant to be.
I fought harder and with more force than ever. We started to win.
Then I looked across the field and I saw Micha'l. I was not surprised that he was a general in this battle.
He commanded his army to attack us. The five of us could not hold off that many demons. I was prepared to die.
Suddenly an army of vampires came from behind us and attacked the army of demons. I turned to look at their commander. It was Torilonos!
"Sorry I'm late, I was delayed by a huge fire demon back there!" He explained. We laughed and joined the fight. By this point I was covered in demon blood so badly that you couldn't make out my features.
After I killed a demon I turned and watched as Brently and Janus took on Micha'l.
I ran to join them knowing how strong Micha'l was.
Before I could get there Janus was knocked down and Brently was picked up by Micha'l. Micha'l slammed Brently on his knee snapping him in half. I ran and kicked Micha'l so hard it knocked his head off. I held Brently as he gasped and died. I closed his eyes for him and stood up.
I realized the loss I was looking at now. I screamed and my power rose beyond Moon Wolf. Not another transformation but a new level of power. A divine level.
I realized that Micha'l's armies were defeated. I walked up to my remaining DemonDoggs and Torilonos. Torilonos told me I was in command. I had a whole army.
"DemonDoggs, wepons!" I commanded as I pulled my night blades. Amanda pulled her pole arm, Janus his giant's mallet, Zebediah his bow of the Nos Feratu, Alexander, his demon blades, and Torilonos pulled his daggers.
We charged into Lucifer's armies as they battled with Michael's.
The fight was great. We battled as strong as possible. I was strong until I realized that Janus had fallen. I found him dead with a large hole in his chest.
I worked to keep my anger suppressed so I could think clearly. I wanted to let my rage fly.
We fought on through the fall of Torilonos, then Zebediah. There were only three of us left. I caught site of Lucifer. I knew it was Michaels fight, so I left him alone.
But he attacked us. And his first victim was my dear Amanda. I caught her as she fell to the ground. "I love you James, I'm sorry I couldn't see it till the end." She said, then she gasped and died.
I kissed her then looked at Lucifer. He said cruelly, "poor slut didn't have a chance."
I charged up quickly then attacked. But the fatigue was beginning to set in. and my chances of beating Lucifer were slim through my anger. I attacked my arms and legs moving quickly.
I could tell Lucifer was impressed with my skill. We battled on in the middle of Armageddon. It ended abruptly with Lucifer punching me hard enough to spin me around. Then he grabbed my jaw and broke my neck. I felt a sharp pain through my entire body then everything went dark. Almost instantly my spirit separated from my body. I floated over the battlefield my will to stay greater than the power forcing me to leave. I watched on as Alexander saw my body fall. He couldn't control his anger. He changed into his demon form. He became a huge dragon-like creature. He ate the remaining armies of Lucifer. Then Lucifer transformed into a similar but larger creature.
As I watched them fight I realized that I meant more to Alexander than his family, even than his demon hood.
They fought on but Alexander couldn't defeat his father. He had lost too much energy and couldn't maintain his demon form.
Michael jumped in and tried to save him. Lucifer however proved that he was stronger. I watched as hell began to engulf the earth. It seemed as if Lucifer would win. They clashed their swords in what seemed like a mortal tug-o-war contest which seemed like Michael was loosing.
All of a sudden Alexander woke up and fired a demon wave. Lucifer didn't pay attention to the beam.
My will once again overcame the laws of dimensions and barriers and I fired the energy blast into Lucifer. Suddenly I saw energy beams coming from all over the battlefield out of thin air and hitting Lucifer. I could tell it was the other DemonDoggs. Then Michael's fiery sword slid into Lucifer's gut. Lights shot out of his body and Lucifer screamed. He eventually died.
After it was over I looked at Alexander and suddenly a ball of energy blew his head off his shoulders. I screamed but it was to no avail. It was a last ditch attack by a dying demon.
Michael flew into the air and I was sucked out of my world. I landed in a place were there was no up or down, no definition to reality, just a mist.
Then I saw the others. Amanda ran up and kissed me. The others joined in a type of group hug.
We heard a voice, "We are the Deities," it seemed to be all the voices of the known combined, "We thank you for fighting this war. James, DarkWolf, we have never known a greater champion. You and your DemonDoggs will be rewarded with eternal life on the new earth. And you James will be rewarded with a marriage to Amanda in this place called Divinity. We have one more thing to ask of you. Protect new earth."
"I will protect new earth. I will protect it with the love of a brother. For I am James Marshall Dunn, Legendary DarkWolf, Leader of the DemonDoggs, the strongest humans ever known, and Brother to New Earth." I said.
My marriage to Amanda was amazing. When we kissed I felt a since of completion.
And the Demon Doggs have been around since.
