General:
The most powerful of all vampires is The Master.
Trapped in a dimensional prison he was unable to enter our world. But with help from his vampire followers and the Anointed One, The Master was able to cross over into our world to lure Buffy to his lair where he bit her and killed her by drowning!! Buffy sought revenge and later impaled him. Then when his followers tried to resurrect him she defeated them and used a sledge hammer to crush his bones into powder.
