| General: Before he was 'Turned' he was a gentle young man named William, hopelessly in love with a young Lady named Cecily, for whom he wrote very bad poetry (Hence the original meaning of his nickname, since he wrote such 'Bloody Awful' poetry!) When Cecily spurned his love, and told him that he was 'beneath her' he was grief stricken and wanderd out into the night. It was while he was crying in a stable that Drusilla found him and 'Turned' him! Nicknamed Spike because he tortured his victims with railroad spikes, William the Bloody once hunted side by side with Angelus, Darla and Drusilla. A British vampire with a punk rock attitude, Spike brags about having killed two Slayers but can't seem to conquer Buffy! At the end of season six he had his soul returned by a demon in Africa Friends: He hangs out with The Scooby Gang from time to time, and, before he fell for Buffy, offerd help for a price. He also has a pretty good friendship with Clem, a loose skinned, sweet natured Demon! Relationships: Drusilla, until she left him for a chaos demon. Harmony, until she wound him up too much and he realised that he loved Buffy. Buffy and Spike got together in season six, until, in desperation at her final rejection, he tried to force himself on her, in the mistaken belief that that would make her love him.The realisation of what he had tried to do to her, drove him to Africa, where he underwent many trials and regained his soul in the hope that he would then be worthy of Buffy.
