Everyone hears a broadcast over the radio of the death of a Shelly Donatachi, known as the beloved mother of Modern Arts. The radio guy is fairly unsympathetic, but this is where we all kick into action.
At merely 1100 a.m., our phones ring. We are told that we shall be paid 500,000 nuyen upon successful completion of a run.
Youko, Artiste, Stealth (who runs into some kids trying to break into his GMC 4201 when he goes outside after the phone call and also decides to pick up and buy an armor vest before the run), Damon, and Nyx. These are the five shadowrunners contacted for this meeting with Mr. Johnson.
Upon their arrival at the meeting place, Bellvue Holiday Inn Resort, each of them is removed of their weapons and their cyberware locked with electronic restraints - they are given small chips to pick up their guns upon their departure.
They meet Mr. Johnson, who seems overly saddened by Mrs. Donatachi's death. He offers 500,000 nuyen to the whole team, to be divied up as we wish. We are to recieve 1,000 for showing up, 20,000 for accepting the run, and the other 400,000 in an offshore account would become available after we completed the following tasks:
1. Found Shelly Donatachi's killers.
2. Retrieved 3 pieces of specific artwork for Mr. Johnson.
Upon all five of them accepting, Stealth complains of his cyber restraints and says they should all go back to his house to continue this discussion. The other four agree, and they head down the elevator with Mr. Dallas - Mr. Johnson's bodyguard; who gives them their money and contact info.
As they are preparing to leave, and go out into the parking lot, Mr. Dallas calls Stealth aside to have a little chat with him.
