The Star explains that Knight Errant made a mistake, allowing the target to escape. The base pay for this run was 6000 nuyen, but in negotiations, we managed to bump it up to 8000 nuyen.
The Lone Star Officer proceeds to tell you at the end that you may use deadly force if necessary, and tells you that the gang protecting him are the Skull-Basherz.
The target he points out is a Shark Shaman, and a vicious one at that.
After he supplies a video clip of a gang with clubs and knives running at a group of gangers with new Predator pistols.
The gang with the pistols, the Skull Basherz, gun down all of their opponents. With this, the Lone Star gave us 2000 nuyen up front for extra supplies, and then we all split up.
Everybody had already made a run to the local stuffer shack for food supplies. Street Devil had found a cat outside his home, and brought it inside.
The meeting place is decided to be Torias's garage. The Bison, Torias's vehicle, is decided to be used for the operation.
Street Devil went and bought a Hunting Jacket, another one of the guys bought a holopix camera.
All of the runners attempted to get to Torias's place by 6:00 or so. Street Devil missed several cabs, as the driver's seemed not to want to pick him up while he had his shotgun slung across his back.
So, after Torias's drone was prepped, everybody piled in the Bison.
Torias took it to the Skull Basherz turf, where we discovered a gang war. As we were caught in the crossfire, Torias threw Street Devil a flash pak, who proceeded to pull the pin, and launch it out the door of the Bison. This was used to cover our escape.
Finally, we came to an abandoned building that we parked the Bison in. Winter Moon conjured many many spirits, causing a small amount of drain.
The only thing visible from the garage was a homeless man pushing a shopping cart. The runners soon prepped, and got ready to move out.
Winter Moon became stunned, and was unable to leave the garage. Torias stayed with the vehicle, and sent a drone (Strato-9) with the runners.
Street Devil took the lead, with John and Kreature following him.
During the venture to the HQ where the man was holed up, three orks came up behind Street Devil, toting only baseball bats.
When they threatened Street Devil, he spun around with his Savalette Guardian, and pulled the trigger. The first one went dead on the ground, followed by John dropping the next one. Kreature unleashed a chaotic world spell on the third one, and Street Devil finished him off with another shot from his Savalette Guardian.
So, they continued on past a house with 6 guards outside. They finally got to the HQ, which had an elemental spirit, along with 7 guards around it.
Kreature demolished the spirit, followed by Street Devil wasting a guard, and John shooting another - wounding him and sending him crashing into a trash can.
The orks couldn't get their bearings, and the team opened up again. Street Devil killed another as John killed the one he already knocked down.
Kreature took cover behind Devil, just as the ork drew a bead on the street samurai. The shot missed, and Street Devil responded by shooting the ork. John also responded with a blast from his gun.
The next shot that came at Street Devil hit him in the left shoulder, embedding in his armor vest. The bullet didn't penetrate, but it angered Street Devil enough to angrily shoot three bullets at the ork.
With all the gangers out of the way, Street Devil walks across the open distance to the door to the HQ. Once it is assumed it is all clear, Street Devil proceeds to get ready to kick in the door, but Kreature offers to knock it down with a spell.
The spell blows the door off its hinges, and takes down the ganger waiting behind. As the unconcious ganger hits the floor, Street Devil pulls his Cougar Fineblade from his boot, and kneels down.
He stabs it through the ganger's neck, and then wipes the blade on the dead man's shirt. He puts the knife away, and then the team prepares to begin searching rooms.
