| Norman Macera began acting in his early teens and studied for a short time with Lee Strasberg. Obsessed with making films from early on, he directed and starred in a series of Super 8 shorts where he was able to enlist the support of everyone in his neighborhood. From tossing friends off of high trestles into watery depths to filling the regional park with smoke from incindiary devices, Macera was always able to stage and capture the exciting shot and make it to safety prior to the arrival of local authorities... In recent years Macera has sold a script to Willie Nelson entitled Diamonds in the Rough. Ventman, a film short written by Macera (in which he also starred) won an outstanding achievement award at Lincoln Center. Current works in progress include in Search of Ancient Elvis and Lunacidal.
