| The reason of this petition is to have Digimon in its most original form. Due to the fact, in the Americanized version, the dialogue, footage and music were either removed or edited, it is our duty as fans to see to that this series should be released unedited and subtitled for anime otakus. Sure the dub is good for kids, but what about the teen and adult audience? The dub doesn't satisfy us with pathetic jokes and off-scale information about Japanese culture. |
| With the dub, it blocks all international culture and Americanize it so that audiences with simple-minds can understand it. If the series was left alone and release on VHS and DVD, then anime otakus can finally have the chance to watch the original as many Japanese viewers had, making us one step closer of being alike. To this end, this is not just for our enjoyment but more like cultural interaction. -- Midori Kou |
