| Tassadar Age: 356 Caste: Templar Affiliation: Rank: Executor Command: Fleet of the executor Bio: Tassadar hails from the Sargas Tribe, which is noted as having the most Dark Templar descended from it. Tassadar, as a youth, was always fascinated by the legend of the Dark Templar -also known as the Uraji Templar- and slways dreamed of one day reuniting all Protoss societies into one, unified whole. Unfortunately, his superiors, the Judicator, were vehemently against the Uraji Templar, for they had forsaken the Khala and severed themselves from the rest of the Protoss forever. So, Tassadar's wishes could not come to fruition; that is, until, the comming of the Zerg into the Koprulu Sector. Tassadar was the commander of a highly trained expidition fleet, which was used to combat enemies outside of the Aiur system. He was sent with his force to nullify the Zerg threat, and then destroy any and all Terran worlds that might have the slightest chance of infestation. This command, to Tassadar, said that he was meant to commit geonicide and destroy all Terrans in the sector. Sorrowfully, he obeyed his commands and completely burned the planet of Chau Sara, and moved on to his next target, Mar Sara. Annhiliating all life on Chau Sara had torn Tassadar; his teachings of the Dae'Uhl commanded the Protoss to defend weaker civilization from attack, and yet it was demanded of him to kill away such a species by his superiors. As Tassadar neared the next target, he called off the engagement, and sent a transmission to the defending Terran fleet, identifieing himself as a Protoss, and left the system. His decision made, Tassadar took the war directly to the Zerg themselves and did his best to wipe them out. He noticed a particular band of Terrans had themselves torn away from their government and were fighting against both their former leaders and the Zerg. Silently, Tassadar watched them, and burned away the planets that they had previously conquered and left. Tassadar trailed these Terrans for months, and finally came upon a world known as Char; a planet ridden with Zere. This world also seemed to eminate a Psionic call, a call that could only come from fellow Protoss. The call's originators were the Dark Templar, who were commanded by the prelate Zeratul. Tassadar learned from them that only the Dark powers of the cosmos, Entropy, had created the Zerg, and therefor, could only be destroyed by that power. He learned from the Dark Templar Zeratul, of the ways of weilding Darkness, and then took on the Zerg with that power. Unfortunetly, despite scoring a great victory, his fleet was battered and worn, and he retreated to an orbital platform the Terrans had created to stage their attacks. From there, he communicated to his brethren on Aiur, of killing the Cerebrates to cause the Zerg swarms to be to be uncoordinated. After finally being rescued by Executor Nagol, Tassadar himself rescued the Dark Templar before leaving Char. From there, they went to the Protoss homeworld of Aiur, only to have Tassadar taken captive by the Conclave. Subsequenyl, Tassadar was again rescued, this time by Fenix, and he went on attack the Overmind, which hwas incarnated on Aiur. As his last act, Tassadar infused the powers of the Dark Templar into the hull of his command ship, the Gantrithor, and created a powerful Psionic Storm using the powers of the High Templar. The Gantrithor was converted into pure energy, and was rammed into the Overmind's unholy form. The Overmind's body was destroyed, and it's escence sucked into the the Psionic Storm. Thus, the Overmind was destroyed forever, but Tassadar had to sacrifice himself for the charge. Previously, Templar were expected to die in battle for honor and glory, but Tassadar believed not in this, only to sacrifice one's self for the destruction of evil. Tassadar stayed true to his beliefs, and did just that, destroying the very incarnation of evil. |
