High Templar are Protoss magi who have discarded their martial training so they may concentrate more on their natural psionic powers and minds. These Templar serve as teachers, scholars, sages, and, in times of peril, warriors.
When their abilities are needed on the field of battle, they unleashe powers unimaginable. Their most famous abilities are the Psionic Storm and Hallucination. Protoss naturally give forth psionic ripples that may be harmful to other living creatures and the environment; therefor, all Protoss undergo mandatory mental training. High Templar take this one step further; they use the powers of Creation, or Light, to unleashe devestating attacks. The Psionic Storm attacks with a whirlwind of Psionic waves that quickly damage the enemy. Hallucination creates phanasms that possess no physical substance, but are used to sow confusion among the enemies.
Only in times of immenent destruction do High Templar use their ultimate-and final- ability: Archon Warp. This brings about the creation of a Psionic being whose powers levels cannot be determined. They unleashe ferocious Psionic shockwaves that can literaly tear apart the enemy. |
