| Fenix Age: 397 Designation: Zealot; Dragoon Caste: Templar Affiliation: Protoss Defense Forces; Fleet of the Matriarche Rank: Praetor Command: Antioche Province Defense Legion Bio: Fenix hails from the Akilae Tribe on the Protoss home world of Aiur. He accelerated quickly through the ranks, and achieved the rank of Praetor soon in his Templar career. He was given charge of the province of Antioche Defense Legion, and won many battles along side his close friends Tassadar and Damiarche. Fenix, like his Templar brethren, like all of the Protoss under the Khala, was commanded by the Judicator and recieved his orders from the Conclave. However, he held doubts about their holding so closely to tradition, and wished for them to change their views. But, like all Khalai Protoss, he obeyed his superiors without question. Then the Zerg invaded Aiur. After succesfully repeling the Zerg from the Antioche Province, Executor Damiarche was ordered to take the war to the Zerg, and Fenix was left a small detatchment to defend the province. This was a mistake on the Judicators' part, and Antioche once again fell to the Zerg. Fenix's body was killed during the attack. However, while Damiarche was sent to locate the rogue Tassadar, Fenix's body was found, and his spirit reclaimed. Due to the damages he suffered, and his willingness to go back into battle, Fenix was transplanted into a Dragoon exoskeleton, and he returened to commanding his Templar brethren on the front line. Because of the events that had transpired, he truly believed that the Conclave was mistaken in their ideals and commands, and Fenix defected to Tassadar's new fleet and vision. After the destruction of the Overmind, and hence, destruction of Aiur, Fenix helped lead the surviving civillians to the planet's last functional warpgate, and held it until the remainder of the Protoss forces had left through it. As with many heroic warriors of the Great Koprulu Sector War, Fenix finally met his true end in battle, and was killed by the Zerg Empire under Kerrigan. |
