Things will be slightly different this year. I am actually going home to be with my family this year. Alot has happened with them over the past 12 months...much of it isn't good, but some is. I have a nephew I have never met and it's time I introduced myself and start his training in the ways of the Darkside of the Force. My grandmother is in a nursing home and probably won't recognize me, but I need to see her anyway. I have a niece who is now a teenager (Geez, I'm so old). My parents separated this month and this will be a chance to get everyone together for the first time since my little sister's wedding. After I visit with them I'll be heading to Oklahoma City and spend New Year's with my friend Dawn at her new house. However I think we'll be going to Dallas for New Year's Eve and doing some concert stuff. Should be good times. They all need a good dose of S&A magic for the holidays.
Speaking of S&A magic, the annual S&A Christmas Party will be held in Ashburn at Elise's home. We'll get things rolling early in the day with food and football. Then when it start's getting all dark and such we'll pull out the games on Elise and Jon's PLASMA TV. Can't wait to see what an Xbox game looks like in high-res on a plasma. The date for the shindig is Sat. Dec. 20th. Don't miss it.
As for the time between now and all the holiday merriment, don't bother me. I've got a Santa-sized list of work projects I have to finish up before I leave. It's going to be an interesting challenge, but I'm just the bum to do it. I'll post up one last time before I leave for Oklahoma. Feliz Navidad. |
