This is a picture of my weekend.  I joined the ranks of those priviledged...half a million that have Xbox Live.  I now can sit in front of my TV wearing a headset and curse at people from all over the world using a goofy robot voice.  Hooray for technology.  I decided to get Xbox Live for some very simple reasons.  You see, I like Mechassault and Crimson Skies.  I think they are both really fun games and easy to jump into.  However, other than Kricket and Rick, my friends don't like these games too much.  So whenever I want to take on some human opponents, there's no one to take on...until now.
Now I just hook my cable modem to my Xbox and let the madness begin.  I did ok for my first outing and cheesed off some guy using a Ragnarok when I kept pooping him with my PPC's from across the field.  Then all of a sudden I had a Matrix moment.  Let me explain.  You see, Rick has Xbox Live as well and I knew he had it.  Also I haven't spoken to Rick in quite awhile.  He's been busy with work and spending time with his girlfriend.  With Xbox Live you are able to look for friends and see other people online using their "gamertag".  So it kind of freaked me out that less than 20 minutes into my first foray into Xbox Live, Rick calls me up.  My first thought was "He saw me online?"  However it turned out it wasn't a Matrix moment and just a big coincidence.  Rick called to check in and let us know he's still alive and would like to get together with us sometime and introduce us to his girlfriend.  Sounds good to me.  Any reason to get together and have fun works for me.  I consulted with Aaron later that Saturday night and we agreed to set something up on Saturday November 22.  I'm going to make reservations at Red Robin near Potomac Mills for dinner and Aaron is going to work on the post-dinner entertainment.  I hope most of you will clear your calendars to attend.  Check the message board for more details.
Well as most of you know, Turkey Day is fast approaching and as far as I know I will be hosting a small get-together at my place on T-Day for those of us without family commitments and such.  I believe both Erka, Ryan, and Shao will be attending.  We'll probably be doing it up old school with a turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and such.  If you think you can attend, let me know.  Once again, check the
board for details.

Other than that, I'm still looking for a new job and trying to stay out of trouble at WEF.  Well speaking of WEF, I need to get back to it.  These books don't write themselves...although I wish they did.  Later.
