10/6/03
Whadday know.  I'm actually posting again.  Sorry to have been away so long, but I've either been busy or just didn't have anything I wanted to talk about.  Keep in mind, I don't think of this site as much of a blogging site or diary.  Most of my personal thoughts and feelings are kept exactly where they need to be kept, inside me.  ?I'm a somewhat open person, but there are simply things I keep to myself, because I'm the only one that can deal with them.  Okay enough of the self-psychoanalysis.

Well what has been going on the last couple of weeks?  Not a whole lot actually.  I've been really busy with work and am also looking for new work because I'm simply fed up with what I'm doing now and no matter how hard I try to get into it, I just can't.  So this might mean I leave the DC area, depending on the job and its location.  The rest of my time I devoted to Disgaea because I simply needed the distraction.  With so much "serious" stuff going on, I need the balance by doing something fun.

Weekends have consisted of our usual fare.  We saw The Rundown the weekend of 9/26.  It was a great movie and the Rock showed he can actually act (not wrestling acting where you're loud and stupid alot) and kick butt at the same time.  Like chewing bubble gum and walking except you make ALOT more money.  After the movie we went to eat at Damon's and had the dumbest waitress in the world serve us.  It was there I coined a phrase.  At the time we were talking about a normal topic for us, sex, and Kricket was pointing out some of the disturbing things that have most likely taken place in my bed at one time or another.  I can neither confirm or deny most of these illict actions...well yes I can but I'm not going to here.  After giving these acts of quasi-depravity some thought I came to this simple yet profound conclusion:

"My bed is a soldier." Yes, it is a direct quote.

Wrap your brain around it for a minute.  Apparently Kricket and Aaron have shared this random nugget of my wisdom (pun intended) with some of their co-workers and friends and it has been met with overall appreciation.  I think most people can identify with this statement whether or not you've done alot of freaky stuff in your bed.  Whether your bed is a FNG straight out of boot camp or a battle-hardened veteran like mine, your bed will one day know the true meaning of a "Shock and Awe" campaign.

Sunday of that weekend is when Kricket, Aaron, and I invaded the Hooters that opened not long ago near Potomac Mills.  Aaron was barely able to finish a sentence.  Poor guy was transfixed on all the lovely ladies working there.  And they really were lovely that day.  I was suprised by the quality of ladies that apparently inhabit 'Da Bridge and surrounding area.  Aaron got his picture taken with all of them.  As soon as I get electronic copies from Kricket, they will be up here.

The next weekend (just two days ago), we headed back to Hooters and Stevie joined us this time around.  Aaron was a little more focused this time and even chatted with our waitress (she was Korean - where were you Sung?).  He once again got his photo taken with all the ladies and Stevie should have those in electronic format.  We then headed to my place for a little gaming and watched the Jackie Chan produced
The Twins Effect. This was definitely not what you would expect from a movie about vampires with guys like Ekin Chang and Edison Chen in it.  The next day I read more about it and learned it was supposed to be an action-comedy.  Whew, well that's kind of good to know because when you see a vampire that looks like Will Farrell, things just tend to get weird.  But overall I think the sentiment was the movie just blew, comedy or not.  But an impotent vampire (teeth problems) is pretty funny.

Well now I'm back in the office and back to the grind.  This week, I'll be doing more of the usual.  Work, look for new job, and Disgaea.  I imagine this weekend we'll go to see Kill Bill and maybe on Saturday we can do a matinee of House of the Dead.

As for games, since this is a main focus of this site, I just can't get enough of Disgaea.  It has become one of my all-time favorite games.  I have played this game for over 70 hours and I will likely play it for a hundred more.  I've already beaten the story, but I'm on the second cycle and I plan to play through again and unlock all the cool stuff I didn't the first time around.  I also fully intend to play through an entire Item World and beat the Item God at the end.  Hehe I've also killed over half the Dark Assembly (Senate).  I will not stop until I'm satisifed with what I've done in there.

In October there are some cool games coming out, but for me the only games I'm interested in are Crimson Skies and Naruto Narultimate Hero.  Naruto is my third favorite anime behind Initial D and Berserk and I'm a Naruto fanboy.  I first watched it in Osaka and even though I didn't understand a word I was still hooked.  So this game will be awsome to me no matter what.

That's all for now.  I'll post again in less than two weeks...honest.
