Hmmmmm what else is new. Not much. I had a job interview last week and I followed up with them yesterday, but no word yet. I hope I get this one. It would be a fresh start for me. If no jobs turn up? Seattle, here I come!!! Hell, I have no clue yet what will happen. But as of now, things aren't looking so hot. But do I care? Hell no. I'll survive somehow.
As for Steel Battalion: Line of Contact, the magic has finally worn off for me. I still love this game, but after this first round ends on the 21st, I'll be taking a looong break from it. Last night I did have fun as I took out a Prominence M-3 (good 2nd gen with a railgun) with my Vortex (crappy 1st gen with a howitzer). I made almost 68,000 points for that mission. One of the guys we played against in that mission came back to our rooom after that and was even laughing about it. Let me put it this way. An M3 costs 40,000 supply points. The cost of a Vortex? 1,000 supply points. When you can take out a good VT with a crappy VT, you get beaucoup points. So far that has been one of the highlights of this game for me. But overall I have to say the campaign mode in LoC kinda sucks. The release schedule and number of releases blow. The connection errors and lack of 4v4 or 5v5 sucks ass. In general, a break from this game will be good unti Capcom gets its shiznit resolved.
