Why is the background of this page white?  Cause we got snow yesterday.  My area got about 6 inches.  Just enough to make me give my office the finger and stay home for the day.  I did some sledding and...played alot of Steel Battalion on one of WEF's projectors.  In fact it's the same old projector Kricket used to take form work all the time.  Other than the fact it's a freaking heavy beast to move around, I enjoy watching a movie or playing games on my wall.  Which is in fact what I did all weekend.  In the words of Dave Chapelle - Mmmm Mmmm, Bitch.

Just to update on what happened over the past two weeks: not a whole hell of alot.  We did have a gamer's night at my place with takeout from Chez Hooters the weekend before last.  The second season of the Dave Chapelle started last Wednesday...hilarious.  Samuel Jackson Beer.  Other than that, we have all been busy with our own stuff of late.  Except me 'cause I'm a lazy bastard.  January is always a slow month for me.  It just takes me awhile to get back in the groove after the holidays.
Well since it's January and because all the other game sites are doing it, I thought I would post my list for my Most Anticipated Games of 2004.  Here they are by system in no particular order.

La Pucelle: Tactics
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time

Xbox
Halo 2
Rallisport Challenge 2
Starcraft: Ghost
Ninja Gaiden
Steel Battalion: Line of Contact
Jade Empire
True Fantasy Live Online

Gamecube
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Tales of Symphonia
resident Evil 4

Game Boy Advanced
Metroid Mission Zero
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

I'm sure I missed a few but some I intentionally left of the list like Gran Turismo 4 and Fable.  I'm just not excited by these games.  Let me just say for the record that GT4 will probably be the best racing
sim to date.  500+ cars, tons of tracks, realistic physics and handling, online play, custom parts.  But what it does lack is the licenses to alot of really great cars like Ferrari and other exotics and for all its realism, where is crash damge?  Even cosmetic damage would be cool.  How can a franchise like this NOT get the license to ding them up while lesser known games such as Project Gotham 2 can total a Ferrari Enzo?  Doesn't make sense.  Also I played GT4 Prologue for a bit and unless you're in first person mode there is NO SENSE OF SPEED.  Just let it be known I have a particular peeve against most racing titles: No Dashboard View.  The only game I know of that had it was Battle Gear 2 I think GT3 had it which was good.  I like to have a sense of where the sides of my car are at all times.  To reiterate: GT4 - best racing sim to date.  Best racing game?  Nope.  Right now Project Gotham 2 holds that title and Rallisport will take the title for me when it comes out.  These games are just a blast to play, especially with friends.  As for Fable, I have my doubts.  I've always leaned towards Japanese RPG and that's a prejudice that's hard to overcome.  I'll wait to see what the press says about it first.
