| In vol. 1 Randy Mclean is assigned to the 27th Precinct and is partnered up with Dee. From the start Dee realizes that Randy is half Japanese and inquires as to what his japanese name is. We find out its Ryo so thats what Dee decides to call him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later we meet Bikky Goldman, a street punk who was brought in for questioning after his father Dick Goldman was murdered. Ryo, feeling he could relate to Bikky's situation, decides to take him in and raise him himself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later, twoards the end, we meet up with Carol (Cara) a pick pocket who, we find, is trying to get money so she can bail her father out of jail. |

| In vol. 2 we travel on with Dee and Ryo as they take a vacation in England (the OAV is based on this) where they meet a New york police detective by the name of Berkely Rose. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ While there both vacationing they find out that over the past few years japanese people are turning up dead around the hotel and police suspet the hotel owner, Leonard Henry, may have something to do with it. In this whole mess, Ryo somehow got himself caught up in it all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The second half of the book, we learn a little about Dee's childhood, and the orphanage in which he grew up in. We meet a nun whom the kids called "Mother" or "Penguin" as Dee calls her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

| In vol. 3 we meet an FBI Agent by the name of Diana Spacey who was brought in to help with a murder investigation. The Chief went on vacation and Berkley was left in charge. Seeing this as an opportunity, Berkley temporarily pairs himself up with ryo and Dee with Diana...this dis-pleases Dee very much. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The second half of the story takes place around Christmas Eve where we learn a bit about Ryo's past, what happend to his family, and why he decided to become a cop. This chirstmas eve, he thought he would be spending it all alone again until Dee came knocking with some wine, treats and a little christmas tree (he decorated it himself) he saw that ryo was crying (which he didnt like) but turned out ryo was crying because he was so happy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "no, its just that...you've made me so happy" ----------------------------- "..merry christmas dee, merry christmas" |
