A Healing Touch

The clang of steel on steel sounded overly loud in the crisp morning air as two Dark Elves sparred in the large forest clearing. They had been at it for a good half hour, but only Secunda was beginning to pant. Olwen was still breathing easily, his eyes shining with his enjoyment over the match.

Secunda pulled back slightly and then thrust forward, angling his strike in an attempt to slip beneath Olwen's guard. The warrior easily parried it though, then stepped forward as he followed through. He was met with Secunda's blade and leaped back, causing Secunda to overstep and stumble. But he wasn't the only one having trouble with his footing.

Olwen's leap back had caused him to land on a rock, unseen beneath the thick covering of snow that lay on the ground. The rock turned, causing the Dark Elf's ankle to twist as he was thrown off-balance. He cried out as his back painfully struck a large boulder, then slowly slid down until he was sitting in the snow, his eyes closed in a pained wince.

"Olwen! Olwen, are you all right?" Secunda was by his side in a heartbeat, his hands gentle on Olwen's shoulders. "Olwen?"

"I am... fine..." The last word came out on a gasp as Olwen tried to move. He hunched over, his arms going around himself as he shook with pain, much to Secunda's alarm.

"No, you are not." Secunda frowned at his lover. "I will take you to the Healer."

Olwen shook his head. "I do not need him." He gritted his teeth and tried to move again, swatting at the pair of strong hands that were trying to stop him. The movement caused a burst of agony in his back and he gasped as his body spasmed. Secunda held him gently and Olwen allowed himself to rest against his chest.

"I am taking you to the Healer." Secunda's voice was firm, but Olwen still resisted.

"No."

"Yes. We will go there now." Secunda held Olwen tenderly, then teleported them to Oralie's before the stubborn Dark Elf could refuse again.

Olwen growled softly as they appeared outside Oralie's home. It was an indication of how much pain he was in that he barely reacted to the teleporting. Secunda held him close and knocked urgently on the door. "Oralie!"

The door opened a few moments later and Oralie looked around for a moment before he thought to look down. He blinked in confusion and then drew in a sharp breath as he noticed the pain in Olwen's eyes. "Olwen!" He knelt down by the injured boy and looked at Secunda. "What happened?"

"We were sparring but he lost his footing and fell. He hit a boulder and now he cannot move, he is in too much pain." Secunda's voice revealed his worry.

Oralie winced and nodded. "Bring him inside." He stood and held the door open.

Secunda carefully gathered Olwen into his arms and lifted him, wincing when his lover growled softly in pain. He carried him inside and put him on the bed, as Oralie directed, then eased him onto his belly before stepping back to let Oralie work.

The healer examined Olwen's back, gently pressing on it to determine where the injury was, as well as how severe it was. Olwen did not enjoy the examination and let Oralie know his displeasure with a lot of low growling. Finally, Oralie sat back and looked up at the anxiously hovering Secunda. "He has bruised his lower back. Although it is a very painful injury, it is not a serious one. I have an ointment that will bring out the bruise and ease the pain more rapidly, but he will need to rest for today, at least."

Secunda breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. "I will make sure he does." He ignored Olwen's low growl of displeasure at his promise.

Oralie smiled and nodded. "I will get you the ointment." He stood and crossed the room to his shelf of medicines, quickly finding what he needed and returning to Secunda. "Here."

"You do it." Olwen's soft voice caused both boys to blink and look at him in surprise.

"Olwen?" Oralie bit his lip and looked at Secunda, one eyebrow raised in silent question.

Secunda shrugged. "It is what he wants." His look suggested that he was disappointed, but not really surprised. He was used to Olwen making unusual demands.

Oralie nodded, more than a little nervous at the unexpected development. He knew Olwen was still edgy about being touched and he did not want to do anything that might scare or anger the volatile young Dark Elf. But at the same time... he very much wished to give what physical comfort he could to the injured boy. "Very well. Will you help me remove his shirt, please?"

Secunda nodded and between them they managed to get the item of clothing off Olwen with only a little bit of pained growling. Once it was off, Oralie frowned slightly and pointed out where the skin was already beginning to show the bruising. The sight made Secunda bite his lip, his hand instinctively reaching out and lightly stroking Olwen's hair to comfort him.

Oralie was careful to hide his delighted smile at the sweet gesture.

Sitting down on the bed beside Olwen's thigh, Oralie took some of the ointment and began to lightly rub it onto Olwen's back. He ignored the boy's soft growls as best he could and tried not to think too much about the fact that he was touching Olwen's bare back with his bare hands. As he worked the ointment in, he was acutely aware of two things, the soft skin beneath his fingers and the pair of eyes intently watching his every move.

He was working the ointment in just above the waistband of Olwen's pants when Secunda's soft voice jolted Oralie out of his concentration. Still massaging, the healer looked up at the Dark Elf Prince and arched an eyebrow. Surely he had misheard. "What was that?"

"They should come off." Secunda repeated his earlier statement, then gestured to Olwen's pants as Oralie blinked at him in confusion. "His pants." He lightly touched Olwen's skin just above the waistband, where the bruise vanished beneath the pants. "It is beneath them."

"Ah." Oralie nodded, then bit his lip. "I do not wish to make him uncomfortable." His voice was very soft and drew a slight smile from Secunda, who nodded in response.

"It will not." Olwen's voice made both boys jump. "Take them off." The bed muffled his voice but there was no mistaking the command.

"Just down a little will be enough." Oralie smiled slightly at Olwen, then nodded to Secunda as the Dark Elf moved to obey.

Secunda eased Olwen's pants down over his hips to just below his buttocks, revealing the darkening skin. He and Oralie both frowned when they saw the full extent of the bruising for the first time. It covered most of Olwen's back, but was worst at the spot just beneath his waist.

Oralie resumed his application of the ointment and was not surprised when Olwen growled loudly. "I am sorry, Olwen. I am going as gently as I can. The bruising is bad here."

Olwen settled slightly. "I know. You are always gentle." His voice was barely audible, but it caused Oralie's cheeks to heat.

Secunda smiled. "Olwen, you have made his cheeks colour."

"Hn."

Was it Oralie's imagination or was there a note of smug satisfaction in the boy's voice?

A few moments later, Oralie was both relieved and disappointed to note that he was done. "There. I am finished, Olwen." As he wiped his hands clean of the ointment, he looked up at Secunda. "You will need to apply it again tonight, before you go to bed." He was pleased at the fact that he managed to keep the blush from his cheeks as an image of Secunda going to bed passed through his mind.

Secunda nodded and accepted the ointment, then smiled slightly. "Thank you, Oralie."

Oralie smiled back. "You are more than welcome, Secunda. Take him home and try to get him to rest." He frowned slightly at Olwen's back. "Considering where the worst of the bruising is, he might find pants to be rather uncomfortable." That time he wasn't able to keep the blush from his cheeks as his words, spoken before he had thought them through, inadvertently caused him to picture Olwen sleeping naked.

Judging by the tide of pink spreading over Secunda's cheeks, he had thought of something similar. He nodded. "A...Aye. I will take care of him." He lightly placed his hand on Olwen's back. "I will take him home like this, so he will not need to be moved again."

Oralie nodded his approval. "Take care. Try to rest, Olwen."

"Hn."

"Thank you, Oralie." Secunda smiled at the healer before teleporting Olwen home.

Oralie sat back and sighed softly. Touching Olwen had made him ache, in more ways than one. He smiled and stood up, stretching before moving over to the cushions in front of the fireplace. Since Bakura was due to return from the Crystal House soon, it would not be long before his ache would be eased. In the meantime, the least he could do was prepare himself.

Olwen growled softly as they appeared in their home, Olwen now lying on his own bed. He settled quickly though, the familiar surroundings relaxing him.

Secunda put the ointment on the table, then returned to Olwen's side, sitting on the edge of the bed beside his lover's hip. He gently rubbed Olwen's back, above the bruised skin so he did not hurt him. "Sleep now."

"Hn." Olwen sighed softly at the touch and relaxed more. "You touch like he does."

Secunda blushed slightly. "Why did you ask him to do that?"

Olwen turned his head, ignoring the twinge of pain the movement caused. "He did it now. You will do it later." The faintest of smiles flickered over his lips.

Secunda arched an eyebrow as he figured it out. "You just wanted him to touch you."

Olwen closed his eyes, his lips still very slightly curved. "I like your touch more."

Secunda was still blushing as Olwen drifted off to sleep, his dreams filled with dark and light haired healers who touched him so gently.
